MMSC#51 Audrey Hepburn Accessories

This weeks card uses the hat image from Dragonflies and Sunflowers found here. The shoe image I received from Susie at Die Cut Dreams. The tube of lipstick is from a coloring book! I got the idea for this card from watching old black and white movies which I adore. I was thinking of Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Ingrid Bergman. The fashions make me absolutely swoon in their movies. The brooch that Ingrid Bergman wears in Casablanca has me mesmerized.

This card was sponged with Rangers Tea Dye Ink. I used red chalk for the flowers, hat band, and lipstick. There are gold brads used on the corners. I used a lot of diamond stickles that does not show up in my photos, but boy IRL it has the most awesome cast on top of that tea dye ink. I wish you could see it. I put some real feathers on my hat too. I made the flowers you see here on the hat and shoes. They are made with tissue paper and sponged and stickled. My tutorial or these flower is here. The envelope is a 6 x 6 and can be found at Priscillastyles Store.

Here is the inside of my card. I love these shoes...I need a pair...LOL Another person who has some awesome fashion is accessories is Doris Day. If you have ever watched "Pillow Talk" you know what I am talking about. So go grab your remote control and turn on AMC or Turner Classic Movies and see some of these amazing fashions. Hope you can join us in the challenge this week. I love to visit and see your creations.

4th Fred She Said Blog Hop-A "Fred For All"

Hi everyone! It's time for a Fred She Said "Free for All". Yes that is right, it is our 4th Fred She Said Blog Hop and welcome to my blog. Your name will go in a drawing to win a fabulous gift certificate for $20 at the Fred She Said Store.

This is my creation for the blog hop. Don't you just love this Classic Truck image. My son who is 17 years old has been restoring a 1964 Ford Truck for over a year. He just recently sold it. This image reminds me so much of that truck. I showed him this card and he loved it...lol He just bought a 1986 Ford Mustang and is now fiddling with that!!!

I used the rust colored image of the truck for this card. My paper is the DCWV stack called Natural. It was perfect for this card. I used the Martha Stewart loopy PATP. The image was first cut with a spellbinders scallop die cut and popped on the rust colored larger scallop. I then cut another image of the truck and popped it for more dimension. I had some old wooden buttons in my stash from when I used to sew and I sponged some Ranger Tea Die Ink on them and Diamond stickled them. I tied the bows with cream colored crochet thread. Crystal Effects was used on all images of the truck.
This is a picture of the inside of my card. I shrunk one of the trucks down for the lower part of this card and I also put one on back of the envelope. This envelope was made from a kit available at the Priscillastyles store here. I cannot make a card now without making the complimentary envelope. With Father's Day coming in June, I hope this will inspire you to create with this fabulous Digi. I just love it and I know you will too!!!

Can you see how shiny this is? I used Crystal effects on my image and stickles! But, let me tell you what I did so you can do this same sketch. I enlarged the fancy sketch to the size I wanted my puzzle pieces on microsoft word then printed it out. I lightly tacked that paper to a cereal box and cut out the puzzle pieces. I ran some white cardstock through my cuttlebug wit the swiss dot folder and the swirl folder. I then traced my puzzle pieces on the backside, cut out and adhered it to my pieces....sponged a little blue china distress in around the edges, mounted on pop dots, and put the puzzle together. Easy peasey...I know you can do this too!!!!

My cupcake image is from Sunshine and Dragonflies-it is the Sugar Frosted Pansies cupcake that I dressed up even further by adding some pansy digi's from the Fred She Said Line called the Blue Pansy Set. I just love the vivid blue of this Card and Envelope Set. The envelope is made with our own Priscilla's 6 x 6 envelope kit at Priscillastyles. (By clicking on the Business name it will take you right to the items used in my project.)

Here is the inside of the card with a couple of cookbook markers as just a little added fun bonus.
Martha Stewart Pansy Around the Page Punch, Deep Edger Doily Lace Trim, and Checkerboard Border Punch were used in the making of this card. The paper is DCWV At Home stack. Hope you enjoyed viewing my card today and that you will join us in the challenge.

MMSC#48 It's a Bird, It's a Plane, No It's a Lady Bug

It's time again for another Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. With the sketch this week, I thought it was perfect for me to pull out my Martha Stewart Lady Bug punches. This was so much fun!!!The Lady Bug Tilda was so much fun to color. The red shading behind the image was achieved with red chalk. The lady bug buttons are from "All Dressed Up". The corner treatments are a sizzx die. The little red flowers are from the Micheal's dollar bin. I also embossed with the basket weave cuttlebug folder.
This is the inside of the card. Those lady bugs are made from another Martha Stewart punch. I punched one time on red card stock and one time with black. I cut the head off the black and glued it on top of the red. Then I cut a body to place under the red wings. I pop-dotted them for dimension. My envelope is made from a 6 x 6 Priscillastyles Kit found here.

Fred She Said Lilly of the Valley

Good morning bloggers. I trust you all had a very Happy Easter. Today's card is made with the Lilly of the Valley Fred She Said Digi which can be found here. This flower evokes memories of my beloved Grandmother. She had Lilly of the Valley in her garden every spring. They are such a beautifully fragrant addition to your garden with these delicate little bell shaped flower.
I colored my image with pencils and blended the colors in the leaves and left the flower part of this digi white. I cut out my image and created some dimension by adding an extra stamen pop-dotted into the middle. I added crystal effects to the entire image and then put a touch of stickles on top of the flower. This picture shows you the effect achieved which adds a special effect.
Martha Stewart - Loopy Around the Page Punch, Deep Lattice Border Punch, Large and Small butterfly punch
Sizzx-Corner Die Cut
Spellbiners- Lattice Pendant Die Cut, Lattice Border Die Cut
Paper - K & Company
Embellishments - Crystal Effects, Pearls, Stickles, Rhinestines, Ribbon, Versa Magic Oasis Green Chalk Ink.
Envelope Kit - 6 x 6 from Priscilla Styles found here.

This is a picture of the inside of the card. The edges of the some of the papers were inked with chalk ink described in detail above in the recipe. I just enjoyed making this so much! My Grandmother would have loved this card! She also had white and purple lilacs every spring - so stayed too for something I have in mind for that!!! LOL Lilacs are another fragrant flower. We used to have a bouquet in the house for as long as they bloomed.

Thanks for stopping by today. I really appreciate it. If you have a moment, I would love for you to let me know what you think. It would really make my day.
