Fred She Said - Wintery Chickadee

Hi Friends. Today I have a card that I made using Tracey's Winter Chickadee from the Fred She Said collection. You can find this image here. Tracey designed the Christmas Bird Series that includes these Chickadees, a Cardinal, and a pair of Robins. They are so beautiful. I encourage you to check them out.

This is my card with the matching envelope. The berry branches and pine cones are from Martha Stewart that I picked up last year in her Christmas collection. They go beautifully with this image. I used a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page, a Spellbinders label die, rhinestones, ribbon, stickles and the Noel sentiment is a Recollection sticker. My paper is DCWV Christmas stack. This is the inside of my card. I repeated the matching Chickadee images and Martha Stewart PATP. What a fun card inspired by the beauty of nature.

My son Ryan gave me a terrible scare. He came home from Baseball Saturday night with a horrible bug bite on his face. We put some anti-biotic cream on it and covered it. Well, a few days go by and he is not getting over it. He called us from school saying something was wrong, he was sweating profusely and not doing anything and that his "bug bite" was hot and really swollen. So we got him into the Doctor's right away and he was diagnosed with MRSA. This is scary to me as my Mother almost lost her thumb from this super staph infection. With this being on Ryan's face-you can image how I felt!!! We got an anti-biotic and have been irrigating this wound with peroxide 3 times a day. In a couple days it is starting to look so much better. God is good to us! My Mother took 6 months to get over hers. So that was my drama for the week. Thanks for stopping by and listening to me prattle here. Hope you are having a great week!

Digital Delights - Santa Bryce

Greetings Bloggers it is Digital Delight Day. Boy am I excited about this really cute image. Santa Bryce is just as sweet as can be. I used the Christmas Accessories and used this list for Santa Bryce as a back drop. And the Sentiment "Santa's Little Helper" is from the Christmas Sentiment Pack. You can find all these fun images here at Digital Delights.

The image was colored in Microsoft paint this week. I got a feeling if I practice in "Gimp" that I may be able to do shading with the images. I just started using Gimp and let me tell you there is a lot to learn. But with any software, you have to play around to find out what it does! This is the inside of my card. I used lots of image to decorate it!

Digital Delights Caroling Penny in 1/2 hour

Here's a quick post today. I just had to post this quick card I made yesterday. Pamzi over at Splitcoast Stampers loves to tease me about how long it takes me to make my cards. So in honor of Pamzi I am posting this as it only took me a half hour. Yes, folks and I even did a stitched piece on the inside. All from scraps of left overs too which is so cool. I had this image left over from the Digital Delights card I did earlier this week. How refreshing from my usual 6 to 8 hour creations....lol
Thanks for stopping by today.

MMSC76-Wintery Trees

Today's card is made with the DRS Designs Wintry Tree image. This is the first time I have tried creating a scene with inks and I just love the results and hope you do too! It is not as difficult as I thought it would be and I would like to explore more possibilities with shading.

As you can see I did a larger image for the inside of my card. I used the Spellbinders die snowflakes and I stenciled them with purple ink and stickles.

I made a matching envelope to round out my project. This was so much fun to do and I cannot wait to get my fingers dirty again!!! Thanks for stopping by and visiting me today!

Gingerloft -Guest Designer - Winter Theme

Hi everyone I hope you can join us over at Gingerloft for Challenge #4 which is a Winter theme. Today I am so honored to be one of their Guest Designers. I just had so much fun playing along with this Wintry Tree image.

I decided to do this image in just black and white and draw lines on the tree branches with Stardust stickles for an icy, wintry effect. I love how it came out. In real life it is so beautiful. This is the inside of my card with a peek of the envelope.I was just so thrilled to walk one day into Hobby Lobby for my friend and find that they had quite a few Spellbinders on sale for $8.99. I had been wanting this frame forever. As you can see I wrapped some pretty metallic gold, red, and green ribbon around it and used some old vintage buttons I had in my stash. I could resist using a "White Christmas" sentiment.

Won't you come and play along with us at the Gingerloft Challenge! Thanks for stopping by today, it has been a pleasure to have you here for a spell.

Fred She Said-Brown Eyed SusanG

Greetings everyone. Today I played over at Splitcoast Stampers in their sketch Challenge. Roxie had an awesome sketch today so I took the opportunity to use this fabulous Fred She Said Brown Eyed Susan image. You can find these images for sale at the Fred She Said store here.

I used some paper from my stash that I have been hoarding. I love the Tim Coffee papers that K & Company put out this spring. I haven't wanted to cut into any of it unless I was going to do something special. I thought this was pretty special because the Brown Eye Susan matches the flowers in the paper. This is a new PATP punch from Martha Stewart. Wow I can't believe how big and deep it is. It punches a 6 inch piece of paper. I love it.

Here is the card and envelope together. I had a lot of fun putting this together and how you enjoyed viewing it.

Thought I would share with you this incredible piece of Halloween decorating with you.
OK, so every year I have gone to Halloween Horror Nights with my Son. In 2008 they had what they called the "Evil Pumpkin Pathway". I have not been able to get this image out of my mind! This is just what it looked like in the trees, but there were pumpkins on the ground as well. You would not believe how unbelievably beautiful this was at night. My goal is to someday have enough pumpkins to recreate this in my back yard. It was so enchanting!

Handmade Thanksgiving Turkey Card

Hi Friends and Bloggers. Can you believe this is the first ever Thanksgiving Card I have made. I usually don't make Thanksgiving Cards, but I thought since I had this very cute Turkey Sticker and the Thanksgiving Sentiment that I would play with it.

Since this card was so easy peasy to put together. I thought I would try making a custom box and belly band. I was so easy to do and I really like that you can see the card through the acetate window instead of covering up all the beauty in an envelope. This box went together so easy.

Here is how the card fits in the box. I made the belly band to fit around it and used some pretty fall stickers that came with the Turkey.
This is the card all boxed up and ready for gift giving. If you are interested in the measurements and how I did this, just leave a comment and I will put a little tutorial here. I promise it is so easy! You will love it!
