Heartfelt Creations Tea Time

Welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.  We are working with the Old English Garden set for the month of May.  How exciting that we have a tea cup to work with.  I just adore anything with a Tea theme.  I have hosted many a tea party at my home to different groups of women.  My book club, my employees, my Sorority, and sometimes just tea for two.  I love tea-can you tell....lol  Some of my parties had themes.  We have dressed vintage before complete with hats and gloves and sometimes we did a Halloween theme which was a lot of fun.   So you know I will use this set a lot.

Summer Gladiolus

Isn't this a flower you don't see much of anymore?  Maybe it is just where I live they don't grow.  Maybe they are considered "Vintage"?  If you can enlighten me that would be great.  I remember these though growing up.  Our neighbor had a garden full of them.

I used yellow designer paper and some Dusty Concord Distress ink for some background colors. I embossed my panels and then distressed them with the Dusty Concord distress ink. The diecut is Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Rectangles.  I colored my flowers with copic markers and outlined with crystal stickles. The corners are a Sizzix die.

This card was sent to one of my very best friends Mother-In-Law.  Thanks for stopping by to take a peek.  I appreciate it very much!

Heartfelt Creations Tattered Blossom Swirls

Welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.  We are working with the Old English Garden Collection this month.  I can't tell you enough how awesome the flowers are in this set.  I enjoy making them so very much.  You can get all different kinds of looks with them depending on how you layer.  With this particular card I have some foam dimensionals in between one layer and I love how the flowers lay.    This stamp set comes with the center flower arrangement you see here and the corner swirls.  Plus there are two other complimentary stamps with it.  A small floral and another larger swirl.  It is just beautiful.  I do not want to stop making cards with this set...lol

Cottage Cutz Filigree Teapot Ornaments

Welcome to my Cottage Cutz reveal day.  The lovely Joanne at The Scrapping Cottage has outdone herself with this fabulous Tea Time Set release.  I am so in love and so excited with the whole thing.  I love tea themed things and this release has so touched my heart.  All the dies are so feminine and lovely you just can't help but want it all!  The ideas are endless.

So let me tell you what I used to create this:

Other: White Card stock, Recollection Pearls, VersaMagic,  Embossing Powder, tiny Prima roses, ribbon, and metallic cording from Michael's (you can find this in the ribbon section at Christmas) and glue.

You can make these in colored card stock if you wish or use your VersaMagic pad to press the die cut on and sprinkle with embossing powder and heat set.  What I did was die cut two teapots and only applied glue at the top outer edge of the tea pot, the top of the handle, and the top of the spout.  Then I shaped the bottom to make it round and glued it to the mini doily.   I decorated with different sized pearls, tied a couple ribbon bows and glued on a small rose.  Just tie the cording at the top to make it an ornament or leave off if you want a simple favor.
Here is how pretty these ornaments will look on your tree.  Notice how the light captures the embossing to make it sparkle and shine.
I left this one plain white.  If you didn't want to make it an ornament-this would be beautiful for a bridal shower or tea party favor.  How pretty this would look sitting in the center of a plate on a set table.  It could be used as a keepsake ornament long after the party.

You could do one for a Silver Wedding Anniversary Party or a Golden Wedding Anniversary Party as well.  How about a little girls birthday party done in pink.  So very sweet and so very cute!
Thanks so much for stopping by to view my creations.  I really do appreciate it.  If you have any questions on how to assemble this just let me know and I will help you the best I can.  Be sure to check out The Scrapping Cottage Blog for more ideas on how to use these fabulous dies!

Beary Special Friends

You know every once and a while I have to throw a bear in here!! This image makes me think of my "Best Bud". I just love the hug happening between these two. The tongue on the bear is priceless.

This is a Darsies image that was colored with Copic markers. I used papers from DCWV The Preppy Princess Stack. The heart borders are a Martha Stewart Punch as well as the branches. The leaves are spellbinders along with the die cuts under the image. Sandwiched in the back is the Heartfelt Creations Elegant Swirl Die. There is stickles on the rolled roses to make them sparkle. On the inside of the card I stamped the sentiment "Hugs"-I thought it was so appropriate!

Here is a close up of those roses I just adore making.  Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you will have a fantastic weekend!

Cinderella for a Cause

This cards is went for a good cause. My friend Sue (Coffeestamper) son Chris had brain surgery to remove a tumor Christmas 2011.  They are collected cards to take to the Albany Medical Center Pediatric Unit. You can read about it here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...l#post19174733. One of the things they asked was that you include an envelope-so I wanted to show the set together. This was so fun to make.
The image is an actual Disney Chip Board Piece.  The Roses are a Spellbinders die and the leaft flourish is a Marieanne die.  I just love making these rolled rose and die cut roses..so fun!

I glittered up the roses with some ultra fine glitter.  They really sparkle!  Thanks for stopping by today.  I appreciate it and look forward to your visits.  Have a great day!

Cottage Cutz Dragonfly

Greetings to you today bloggers.  For my post today I wanted to share a card I made with the Cottage Cutz Dragonfly Die.  It's my day to post at The Scrapping Cottage!  This was so fun to make and really quick and easy.  I am being totally honest as cards usually take me like 6 hours to make just one....lol
I started with the dragonflies.  I die cut them and painted them with H2O's.  This is the first time I used that paint and I have to say I love the shimmer and the way it goes on.  The top dragonfly wing was painted with Bolivian Blue, the bottom wing with Olive Vine, and then I outlined the whole wing with bamboo.
The dragonflies were mounted on Spellbinders the smallest die from the Large round set.  This was distress inked with Rangers Brush Corduroy and then mounted on top of a die from the Spellbinders Ironwork Accents set.  The background was done with a Martha Stewart Punch around the Page set called French Scroll.

This is the sweet die I used.  You can find it here.

Thank you for stopping by today to visit. It was sure appreciated and it was a pleasure to have you stop by!
