MMSC#60 Sugar Hollow Creek-Bee Digi

Bzzz Bzzzz!!! Hey everyone, what's the buzz? Now don't you just love this Bee image. Yes, I knew you were going to say that!!! Well, it is from Sugar Hollow Creek from my Design Team Sister Tracy. Oh when I saw this, I knew I had to put my creative flavor to it!!! You can click on to the store here to get your own. It comes in a set-one bee, one butterfly. Both are gorgeous.

I used some plain ole Crayola markers on the bee and then dabbed it real good with Rangers Distress ink in tea dye. I also glitter up the wings. Now, as you can see, I have dimension to my wings. What I did is made several copies of the bee, colored and cut out the wings. I made a slit in the main bee image next to where I want to place the wing and cut tabs in the wings, stuck them through the whole, then turned back the tab and glued it. It came out perfect. I got them to stick up and give me dimension-that was where I wanted to go!!!

My papers are from Deja Views-called Global Trek. I used the other half of my pearls from last weeks MMSC card on this one. Rangers distress tea die ink and VersaMagic Purple Hydrangea was used. Thanks for stopping by today to see my card. I really appreciate it.

Fred She Said Pansy Matchbox Nugget Holder

Greetings! If you saw my plaque the other day then your will remember these pansies. I had these sitting on my craft table left over.

So, my good friend Patty Penn sent me several months ago an envelope filled with these match box die cuts. Not only that, she told me when I go visiting businesses to inquire about a job and leave my Resume' that I should bring a box of candy. So if you put two and two together...this is what you get!!! lol

Aren't these darling. I used the Martha Stewart pansy border punch for the lace and the Martha Stewart mini butterfly. I tied a ribbon and attached the thank you charm I got from Micheal's in the wedding section. I got 4 Hershey's nuggets in a box. I made 12 in all and have some others to share another day that I used tea bag folding on.

I took these today on my testing and interview and gave them away. They really liked them. It made me feel so good to give them away and spread a little bit of kindness. I was successful in achieving my initiative!

Thanks for looking!!!

MMSC#59- Butterfly

My creation this week was made with Prisicllastyles digi Butterfly found here. All I can say is WOW. This will not be the last time you see this Butterfly from me. I absolutely love the details it has. You are going to love this.....and I heat embossed it. Yup, you heard me right!! How did I do it you ask? With a Zig Emboss it pen!!!

Here is some close up detail of this gorgeous butterfly. Shhhhh, I used crayola markers on this butterfly, then I took Rangers tea dye distress ink and pounced it all over the top. Then I cut it out and place crystal effects over the whole image. I then used a very fine glitter that I very carefully sprinkled all over the image.

The orange flowers are Prima flowers called Got Iced. I took my Ranger Distress Tea Dye ink and applied it to them as well to tone down the orange to a more vintage looking color. Then I randomly applied some glue and applied Diamond Dust to give them a frosted look.

This is the matching envelope. Throughout the card I used the Martha Stewart Butterfly PATP punch, Spellbinders die cuts both scalloped round and oval. The Sizzx leaves and flourish die.

My papers are from K & Company. I used spiced marmalade and peeled paint Rangers Distress Ink sponged around the outside of my papers.

Fred She Said Teacup Pansy

Happy Monday Bloggers. Here is a little something I put together this weekend. Today I have something other than a card...It's a wall plaque. I picked up a 5 x 7 wood plaque at Walmart for $1.12 and started to play. This is what I came up with.

The image is from Fred She Said called Teacup Pansy found here - it's pre-colored for you so easy peasy. I just did lots of cutting and layering. As a matter-of-fact paper was flying everywhere on the craft table as I just kept die cutting and punching...needless-to-say after the glitter on Friday and the punching yesterday it is time for a vacuum today!

Got the idea for the frame from Becca Feecan at Amazing Paper Grace after seeing her card on Splitcoast Stampers. It's a spellbinders die cut called Grand Lace Border. I used Martha Stewart's Pansy PATP, Sizzx Flourish Die, Martha Stewart Large Chrysanthemum (Double Punch), Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Pendant. And now I just remember I was going to put a tag on this that says "To Someone Special" and dang I forget...so use your imagination for that one...lol Sorry!!! So what do you think?

MMSC#58-Gurlee Girl Lexi Summer Fun

It's Summertime and the heat is on! Time to go to the beach and cool off and have some fun in the sand and surf. That is exactly what "Lexi" from the Gurlee Girl Collection by Chelsea is doing! I just the new Martha Stewart PATP Shell collection punch to set the scene. The shells are real shells from a personal collection that I have in a jar from some of the beaches I have been to in Florida. What is so cool that I don't think can see in the picture is I applied stickles to them which makes this card sparkle and shine beautifully!

The Martha Stewart branch punch was used to the sea weed. I made my own "sand" for this card that I will show you in a tutorial how to do later this week. I also stickled the white shells on the border which really doesn't show up real well in the picture. This card is so much prettier IRL.

Fred She Said Old "Time" Truck

You know Father's Day is coming up real soon! So, I have a bunch of guys here that love Classic Trucks and Cars. I don't make a lot of masculine cards, but with a pre-colored image like this from Fred She Said....well, you guessed it, I could make one every day. I am on the FSS Design Team and Traci gave us this truck and there are several different colored trucks that are really cool. You may have seen the rust colored one I did. Be sure to check them out here if your are interested!I have had this idea in my head for a couple of months since I picked up these Timepiece Clear Stamps from Sandylion at Micheal's. The background paper even has clocks on it and it is from At Home by My Minds Eye. I stamped the timepieces with versamark and embossed with black. Then I used a glue pen and antique silver glitter on the faces. I used crystal effects on my truck to give it the "new wax" look. There are glittered brads in the corners and clear rhinestones on the die cut.
I used several different punches as follows for decorating the card:
EK Success Scroll Border Punch (I got this for $2.99 after Christmas-what a bargain!)
Spellbinders Fleur D' Lis Pendant both big and small-I cut the small one in half for all the corners
Martha Stewart PATP Gothic Arches

This card is entered in the following challenges:

Blue Birds of Happiness

Greetings Bloggers and welcome to my blog today. This card and envelope was made for a friend of mine whose Birthday is coming up soon. I have had this Bird stamp since the beginning of the year. With going to school and Design Team commitments, I haven't had a chance to ink this baby up until this weekend.

I have been hoarding two pads of K & Company Tom Coffey papers. Gosh it is so beautiful, I have hated to use it as you just can't find it any more!!! I finally cut into some sheets for this card. I got this Martha Stewart Bird and Twig PATP punch for Mother's day. I also used the Martha Stewart deep scallop punch for the corners and the MS Branch punch. The leaves are a sizzx die cut that I used a cereal box to create them as chipboard. Then I applied glue and glitter to them. I made the crochet flower and used a brown corduroy brad for the center.

The image was stamped with black stazon ink and colored with pencils and blended with baby oil. I used distress green ink for around the spellbinders label die cut. Then I glittered the edges with some crystal stickles. I added green rhinestones in the corners.H
Here is the inside of my card with the envelope again. I carried the embellishments to the inside of the card as well. I hope the Birthday Girl will enjoy this card. To tell you the truth, I hated to mess it up by writing my sentiment and name inside....lol. I almost sent it with a sheet of paper on the inside with my greeting and signature so that she could use the card again....but I decided not to...lol

MMSC#57 Bear on a Swing

My image this week is from Sue at McMahon Five called "Bear on Swing". Isn't he just the cutest. I used my new Butterfly Martha Stewart PATP punch for this card, the Martha Stewart butterfly punch, and the Martha Stewart deep lattice punch. Those cute flourish swirls were found at Micheal's. My flower trim was made from the Spellbinders sunflower die cut. Crystal Effects was applied to the image cut out and pop dotted.

This is a picture of my card and the envelope that I made to go with it. I changed up the flowers on the envelope and put them in the corners.

This is the inside of my card with the envelope in the background. As you can see I carried the theme to the inside as well.

MMSC56 Emma With Bubbles

Greetings bloggers and welcome to another week of Midnight Madness. I was away on my family vacation last week, so I am a little behind. Playing catch up right now! This weeks card is made with an image from "Fred She Said" called Emma with Bubbles. Isn't she adorable. I am on Tracy's design team so I got this image from
her. Your can visit her store here. I am a big kid when it comes to bubbles-I just love to sit outside and blow bubbles. I have a bubble machine I put on at times and just let it go out in my back yard. Sometimes the bubbles drift over the top of my house fill the front lawn as well. So you know I just love this image.
For this card I used a new set of Martha Stewart PATP punch. I then added the pearls to the center design. Crystal Effects as used on the bubbles and it made them look so real. I also stickled Emma's dress. The rhinestones flowers actually match the paper perfectly, but for some reason have photographed a different color. I applied small pearls to the center of them.

This is the inside of my card with the envelope in the background. I cut out Emma to highlight the bottom portion of the card and cut the bubbles to look like they floated to the top...fun!!!

Here is the card with the envelope I created. I hope your have enjoyed viewing this creation and will go get your bubbles and play outside!!! Thanks for stopping by today. I think I am almost caught up from being away. Stayed tuned for more things coming up soon.
