Fred She Said Teacup Pansy

Happy Monday Bloggers. Here is a little something I put together this weekend. Today I have something other than a card...It's a wall plaque. I picked up a 5 x 7 wood plaque at Walmart for $1.12 and started to play. This is what I came up with.

The image is from Fred She Said called Teacup Pansy found here - it's pre-colored for you so easy peasy. I just did lots of cutting and layering. As a matter-of-fact paper was flying everywhere on the craft table as I just kept die cutting and punching...needless-to-say after the glitter on Friday and the punching yesterday it is time for a vacuum today!

Got the idea for the frame from Becca Feecan at Amazing Paper Grace after seeing her card on Splitcoast Stampers. It's a spellbinders die cut called Grand Lace Border. I used Martha Stewart's Pansy PATP, Sizzx Flourish Die, Martha Stewart Large Chrysanthemum (Double Punch), Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Pendant. And now I just remember I was going to put a tag on this that says "To Someone Special" and dang I forget...so use your imagination for that one...lol Sorry!!! So what do you think?

  1. Bearzi,
This is sooooo gorgeous! It looks like something you'd pick up at a local boutique! It truly is a paper confection. What I like about this creation and many of your cards is that you include many different, interesting layers for us to see. You can't just take a passing glance at a Bearzi card...you need to study it for a bit!
    Beautiful job. :)

  15. I love this and it really was a lot of work - and hey, what's a little bunch of glitter and scraps amongst us crafters, eh? lol

Beautiful, just beautiful. I totally second the poster here who said that it was something you'd see in a boutique - that's spot on. Can't believe you made it all from the humble start of plaque that cost less than $2!

Thanks for participating with us at Opus Gluei - btw, the doilies don't make as much mess depending upon how much product you put on them. But they are little and I was kind of having issues with some of the small pieces!
