Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone! I wish you all a happy healthy, and prosperous New Year. You probably have wondered where I went. Especially after the Angel tutorial I did. I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted. Anyway, I got sick one week after I started my new job and really struggled trying to get everything done to provide a Christmas for my family. I thought I would show you another one of the reason I haven't posted cards.....this is it! I made this afghan for a very special young lady for Christmas whose favorite color is purple.
You can see my Gingerbread tree here in the foreground of the picture. This took me a bit of time to complete. I am proud to say that I took this picture on Christmas Eve just before I wrapped this up-so I did get it done in time.

Wishing you Joy and Blessings in the New Year.
Bear Hugs,
Carol

Digital Delights - Little Dumpling in Pram

Greetings to all of you. Well I have an announcement to make. When you read this, I will be on my way to my very first day of work!!! After almost two years of being laid off, I finally found a job. I can hardly wait I am so excited. You just can't imagine how hard it was to find a job and how very thankful I am to have this one.

My card today is made with Little Dumpling in Pram and this image is from Digital Delights and you can find it right here. I paper pieced my pram and layered this image three times for dimension. Here is the recipe:

Martha Stewart Edger Doily Border
Martha Stewart Deep Edger Doily Lace Trim
Blue Flower Rhinestones on Wheels
Prima Flowers
Sizzx Flourish Die Cut
Spellbinders Lrg Oval Scalloped and Lrg Oval Die Cuts

Just a little reminder that Wendy is having a sale on Christmas Images so there is still time to get some of these cute images in time for your Christmas crafting needs.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I am hoping to get up another video this weekend with another ornament tutorial and directions for you. It should be fun. I am loving all the Angels I am seeing in blogland made with my template.

New Year's Card with Wine Topper

You just got a last minute invitation to a New Year's Eve Party. Oh my gosh, what do you do. You need a hostess gift and your need one fast. Well, here it is!!! Right at your fingertips and you will be ready to go to the party and impress your hostess with this very cute gift combo.

This is from the new release of New Beginnings called Little Dumplings New Years Girl. You can find her right here. She's perfect for your New Year's paper crafting needs.

For this creation, I used the Cuttlebug Clockworks embossing folder and the Spellbinders Timeless Heritage die for the clock. The champange glasses are a Martha Stewart punch called Flute with Bubbles. Here is a close up of the Wine Bottle Topper. This is so easy to do. Here are the directions:

WINE BOTTLE TOPPER

Cut a piece of cardstock 3-1/2 by 10-3/4
Score at 8"
In the middle of the 2-3/4 " side punch or die cut a 1-1/2 hole for the neck of the bottle.
Cut your designer paper 7-3/4 by 3-1/4
Cut another coordinating Designer paper 7-1/2 by 3
You can use a corner punch to fancy up the edges.
Layer one on top of the other and decorate as desire.

Here are the new releases
