I had a great time working with this ribbon. I usually do just a bow, but I was in the mood for something different sort of lacy and feminine. I colored my image with Copic markers. I used the Spellbinders fancy tag for embellishment and the border punch is from Martha Stewart. I distressed all the edges with a Tim Holtz distressing tool.
This is the inside of my card. I made the panel on the top to be removable so that you could include a picture with the card. I always think of things like that as my Mother lives so far away and that is nothing that makes a loved one happy as receiving a picture of the family. This is a side few to show the dimension of the ribbon. I attached it to the card with red line sticky tape. It was very easy.
Thank you for stopping by today. Again, I will have more this week. Be sure to mark your Calendar for our Fred She Said Blog Hop for March 25. I made my project this weekend and I can hardly wait to show you. It is just adorable. Hope you have a great week!

Your cards are always so stunning and I just love all these flowers you show they really are so beautiful and such lovely designs!! Love Chanelle xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a fresh breath of spring air this card and matching envelope are! We had huge beds of lilies of the valley along our wrap-around front porch in my childhood home, and I just LOVED playing on the front porch in May and June when they were in bloom. One of the first things I did when we bought our first house here in MA was to dig flower beds along the front porch and put in lilies of the valley. So beautiful and old fashioned and one of my favorites!!! What a gorgeous creation, Carol!!

Thanks for joining us at Little Miss Muffet Stamps this week. Love how you folded your ribbon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame that you can't grow these flowers where you live. This was my Mom-mom's fave flower too, and happens to be the fave for my 12 YO. :) I love how you've used lots of white here, and teamed it up with black for an ultra-elegant, sophisticated look. The ribbon treatment is ooh-la-la!
