Fred She Said Snow Flower

Welcome to my blog today. Today I worked on this image that has intimidated me for a while just because I wasn't sure how to color it. But Tracy at Fred She Said came through and just recently colored the Spring Flower set of digi's. So without further ado, I have now done each flower in the set at least once! You can find this beautiful set of Spring Flowers at the Fred She Said Store HERE.

So I just sat out in my craft room last night (It's actually a Florida Room that faces my back yard) and started playing with my dies. I have several different dies from different sets on this card. That is the beauty of doing your own thing. You can use whatever works for you....no rules!!! lol I love white cards so I decided to just use white card stock and I distressed inked the edges with "old paper" distress ink which I picked up for 50 cents at a yard sale not long ago. It works good and has lots of ink!!!!

You can see this beautiful image and how I trimmed the edge with square pearls and fuzzy cut the flowers and put them on dimensional pads for interest.

Here is what I used:
Spellbinders: Fleur de Lis Squares, Floral Doily Accent, Fleur de Lis Pendant
Marthat Stewart: Small Butterfly, Chrysanthemum Large Punch
Cuttlebug Folders: Swiss Dot, Lrg folder from Sentimental Set
Misc: Rhinestones, Square Pearls, Diamond Stickles, Ribbon

Here's a peek at the inside. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I have enjoyed your visit. I will be back tomorrow with another card so be sure to stop by. We are so busy right now with Graduation-I will be away from the computer for a week.

  11. You got that Distress INk at quite a bargain! And I love, love, love this card. What I like is that it has lots of white, but with so many die cuts and punches, it's got loads of texture and interest. It's such an appropriate background for a "snowdrop" flower.
