Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge-Father's Day

Today's challenge at Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge is to make a Father's Day Card. I have used the "Big Boys Toys" stamp for my card this week. Come and join us for a fun challenge. Thank you so much for those of you who participated in our flower challenge. It was awesome to see all your fabulous creations.
This image reminds me of Sunday afternoon drives with my parents. When I was growing up, my parents would take us for a Sunday afternoon drive some where. They never had a plan as to where we were going. We would drive to the lake, or maybe take a walk in the forest, go to an orchard, sometimes the ocean. These drives would always include ending up at my Grandmother's house. Sometimes we would get ice cream, sometimes we would go to dinner, or just pack a picnic lunch. Great memories!!! My father loved the color red so that is why I did this card in red. He would have loved it!

    Carol--this is FANTASTIC!!!! Your coloring skills are amazing on this! And I love all the greenery around the bottom of the image. I hope you're saving this to give to John for Father's Day! TFS

    Spectacular Father's Day card. Love the dimension and the greenery at the bottom is pure genius... It looks as if it's part of the image and give it a 3-D effect.

    Carol you are tooo cute~!!! dont you miss the 80's???? LOL they were fun days!! Thank you for your comment on my album, and I cant wait to see yours. Sometimes I get an idea too, and if I dont start it and write it I get it all confused or forget it...LOL Its too bad you didnt live closer we could make albums together and share ideas. Its stinks I live in a state where none of the crafting world online lives...lOL Oh well I craft alone :) Ooops with my Kitty Mr.Booters(Boots) so not alone :)

    What a lovely (even for a man)card. We went for Sunday drives too, usually to the park where there was a flowing water well, a train we would ride and fresh popped pop corn. Ahhh the simple life..... Thanks for playing Simply Create this week!
