Greetings everyone. Well today is another challenge over at Mark's Finest Papers. Our Challenge this week is to make any shaped card other than the standard 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. You can join us at the challenge here for a chance to win a beautiful Mark's Finest Paper stamp set.
I had to start my post with this song. When I started this card I could not stop singing this song. So I built a barn from this template here. I cut out the barn on red paper. I scored it every 1/2 inch and then took a ruler and sharpie and drew a line on the score lines for the shingles on this barn. I cut the white paper in 1/4" strips and lined the doors and inside the doors. I used a scrap of cardstock for the silo and a triangle for the roof on the silo. The trees are a sizzx die and the fence is a Martha Stewart Punch.
This is what the barn looks like . I really think it is so cute and interactive to-which makes it so fun. Here is the barn with the doors open. We have a cow, pig, and horse. Notice who's in the loft.....I couldn't resist putting Speedy the Cat from the set in the loft. He is even wearing a straw hat.
Are you singing Old McDonald Had a Farm yet??? lol This card is going to Hugs and Hope for Sick Kids. I made two cards this week for this cause hoping that we would make our goal of sending a card to every card on the list!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend. I hope you can play with us!
