Greetings Friends and Bloggers. Today I will share with you an Acetate Card I created for Heartfelt Creations Wednesday. After seeing this card that my punchie pal and friend AudreyAnn did at Splitcoast Stampers, I knew I wanted to try my hand at making one. I have been wanting to do an acetate card forever-so I dived right in!!! I love Audrey's work and get so inspired!
Here is a close up of the roses I made with the Spellbinders Rose Creations Die set and the Heartfelt Creations Botanical Floral PreCut Stamp Set. I just love making these flowers. You can have any flower you want to match your project.
Here's another close up. I stamped my acetate with white ink (see below for brand) and sprinkled embossing powder and heat set. You have to have patience to do this. I smeared the white ink I don't know how many times. But the good news is-you can take it to the sink and wash it off, dry it, and start over if you make a boo boo!!!! lol Unlike paper, it you stamp it and goof up you need another piece of paper or a way to hide the mess. Be sure to check the Heartfelt Creations Blog for full directions on how to create this card.

ReplyDeleteThis is one fine creation Carol! Wow! It doesn't have a million layers, but it looks like it! I love the roses, the swirls, the embossing, and the sentiment. What a beauty. You are amazing!!! I find myself trying hard to read what you made everything with because it makes me want to go run out and buy everything which I can not do (at least not now LOL - but there are only a few more weeks of Lent....). Really lovely - so glad I stopped by to visit. Hugz!!!
ReplyDeleteI think I know which acetate card of AudreyAnn's you are referring to and it is gorgeous, as is yours. I love those roses...they are truly gorgeous in that color. Very elegant card, Carol!

ReplyDeleteCarol, wow! I mean, wow! I did see that acetate card that Audzi made. It was incredible, and so is yours. I wouldn't have guessed that you can use a heat tool on this acetate; would have thought it would melt!
Did you draw little lines on those flowers? YOu constantly amaze me with your patience to create the most wonderful details!
