I always wanted to make one of these cards. I thought it was perfect for the stamp as you can use the whole stamp as the tag and write your sentiment on the back.
- HCPC3462 My Guy PreCut Set HCPC 3459 Scenery Builders PreCut Set HCD 717 Scalloped Posy Die Product ID: 354806 Standard Circles Large Product ID: 354810 Scalloped Circles Large Other: Green Cardstock, Vintedge Rachet 80# card stock, Hemp 20lb cord, Recollection Rhinestone, Stardust Stickles, Rangers Peeled Paint Distress Ink, Momento Black Ink and Copies B93, B95, B99, YG11, YG13, YG17, C1, C3, C5,C7, BG0000, & BG10. This is called a Vertical Criss Cross Pocket Card. The complete tutorial with measurements can be found here. The card size is 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". All edges of card stock has been inked with a black ink pad. Rangers Peeled Paint distress ink was used to distress the edges of the tag insert. The small scalloped posy die was used for the pull tab on the tag with a rhinestone place in the center. Stickles was used on the edges of the image, to highlight "My Kind Of Guy" on the tag, and to highlight the focal point image. Two pieces of hemp were tied around the belly band. The image was stamped using the masking technique and colored with copics.
Awesome criss cross card sweetie it's absolutely stunning. I love the paper soooo pretty.

Great criss cross pocket card, Carol! I love that big sentiment tag and the cute rock/grass image, too. That posy die was perfect for a pull-up. I have that and need to make something and use it. Maybe case you??? :-)

I love the little details - as usual, they combine together to make this go to like another plain in the the cardmaking world. I am going to come back and study it some more later - I always learn something from your cards - so fun!!!!

ReplyDeleteA pocket card; that is one cool design. I never think of doing this kind of card. I'm really glad you were able to siphon some WiFi from your neighbors, too. Stinks to be without Internet!
