CottageCutz Sewing Machine

Hooray for the weekend.  Hope your weekend is all you want it to be.  I have been away for a bit as I have been working on a project that I am still not finished yet.  Today I have a card for CottageCutz made with some of the new Vintage release dies.  This card is made with:
The edges of the paper have been sewn with a real sewing machine.  The paper punched lace at the top is embellished with real buttons with crochet thread bows to compliment the real lace at the bottom.  The mini dress form is mounted on a teabag folded flower that looks like a quilt square in real life.  The camera just did not pick up the lovely dimension.  A button was attached to the center of the dress form and another bow made from crochet thread was attached.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful "crafty" weekend!  Here are the dies used:

  8. Carol, this is adorable! I love all the buttons across the top. And, I can see that the folded flower would look like a quilt square. What a cute, old sewing machine.

Me thinks you're working on something that includes snowmen????? LOL

  9. Hi, Carol! The colors you've selected for your vintage die cuts look perfect - still feminine and sweet, but that "oldish" feel LOL - LOVE that double zig zag stitch with the darker thread. I have not tried darker threads yet, because my hands shake so miserably that the stitched lines are never straight LOL The buttons provide fabulous dimension and are cute as can be. So pretty. Thanks for explaining how you put your card together, and happy cardmaking to you, hugs, de

  14. Fabulous! Those buttons are perfect for that border and I like how you used the same button on the sewing mannequin. The thread wrapped around the spool and all the zig-zag stitching on this card are also kewl. Your attention to detail really makes this card a masterpiece.
