CottageCutz Blog Hop Altered Mailbox

Greetings and welcome to the CottageCutz Blog Hop.   We have lots to share with you today using the Beautiful CottageCutz Dies so be sure to grab your favorite drink and enjoy the hop!

For my project today I decided to alter a mailbox that I had picked up in the dollar bin at "Target" some time ago.  What prompted this project was a desire to do something awesome with the Envelopes and Tags from the This n That collection as a gift presentation.   I was inspired by a piece on Pinterest find here.
 
The beautiful shabby chic Primrose Stack from DCWV are the papers used in this project including the hand-made flowers.  Spellbinders Bitsy Blossom was used to create the roses.   The vintage images are actually alter bottle caps that I made for this project.  The tinsel is from Michael's that I picked up on sale a couple of weeks ago.
 There are also to stickpins that I created that are at the top of the bow.  A paper doily is adhered under the bow. Martha Stewart Butterflies are sprinkled throughout.  There are a few crystal bling sprigs intermingle with the pretty roses and everything was touched with diamond stickles.
 Here is the mail box opened to reveal the pretty gift cards enclosed.  Wouldn't these be lovely to have on hand for those last minute gifts and housed in such a pretty container!
 Here are the pretty envelopes.  In keeping with my Shabby Chic theme, the envelopes are white and the little tags on the inside are from The Primrose Stack Collection.

    What a delightful project, and very caring, loving gift, Miss Carol. Beautiful workmanship as always, but the colors and details help make the mail box even more wonderful. Are the stick pins new, or from your recent embellishment exchange. So glad you did the video on this one, too. Just listening to your sweet voice, and seeing your talented fingers moving over the parts helps me visualize your "shopping trips" and imaginatively creative process.     Oh here it is!!!! I guess since I want it to hold cards from a shower I am going to have to find an actual mailbox HAHA. But I am going to do this!!! I am so thrilled that I saw this idea, I was just going to make a cake box...but since the whole shower I really want to be unique..down to the food and drinks..this will further it along!!!
    So excited...hmmm kinda late to go to the store since it's almost midnight..there is always tomorrow.
