Hello Papercrafters. Today I would like to share with you a wedding card I made. Not just an ordinary wedding card but this "mega card"...lol This is three 5 x 7 panels with a hinge in-between each panel.
I gave myself a challenge to use what I knew about the wedding to make this card. It was a beach wedding. So I used real shells, the Cuddlebug Shell die cut set, and the Martha Stewart Branch and Frond punch for the sea weed and coral.
For each of the end panels the Spellbinders 5 x 7 Enchanted card creator dies were used. The colors of the wedding were turquoise and purple. The turquoise paper is a mulberry paper that was embossed.
Of course, it's a wedding and what wedding would be complete without the classic use of roses and pearls. The center panel is a wedding couple silhouette. The die cuts are Spellbinders 5 x 7 Labels Four. Diamond stickles were used on the edges of the coral and sea weed sprigs. Martha Stewart Feldspar Glitter was used on the shells and sea horses. I used a chunky glitter from Martha Stewart on the rolled roses.
So there you have it my mega card. On the back behind the center panel I placed my sentiment. I cut out two pockets for each of the back of the end panels. One held my personal message and the other my gift. Pssst, I have a secret....I am planning a mini album to match this. What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed your visit. Have a great week!
You amaze me with all your wonderful talent, this is gorgeous, who ever gets it will treasure it for years!!!!
ReplyDeleteooooooh! are those hinges made with cardstock which is "hidden" beneath panels, or is it very wide ribbon! You already know they will keep this card forever, ESPECIALLY if you make a matching mini album. Love the pearls framing your two outer panels, and the bride's choice of colors are beautiful for a beach wedding. I also like the idea of using the little "pockets" on the back for the sentiment. You are always so cleverly imaginative, Miss Carol. This must have been a fun card in the making. I can hardly wait for the mini album (love the way you dangle "... and there is more to come..." hehe BEAUTIFUL card! hugs, de
