Cottage Cutz Vintage Bath Tub Gift Box

Happy Saturday.  Welcome friends and bloggers to another Cottage Cutz Creation.  Today is a Gift Box.  This was created with a plain old corrugated cardboard box.  You can do anything with a few pieces of scrapbook paper, lace, and embellishments.  Warning:  This post is picture heavy!
The Vintage Bath Tub die from Cottage Cutz was use for the focal point.  It was mounted on a few spellbinders dies.  The corners of the box are the Bella Spring Corner.  The Bella Leafy Branch was used under the flowers.
The box was covered on all sides with paper.  The bottom has a Martha Stewart Deep punched border trim.  When covering your box, don't worry about covering those corrugated edges.  You can paint them with paint or gesso like I did and you just get a Shabby Chic look to your project.
Lace was glued around the top edge of the box along with some crochet trim and a row of bling.  The bow was created with sheer ribbon with pieces of lace inserted between the layers for fullness.
Cut the Vintage Bath Tub die with white cardstock and use your Copic markers to shade the pieces and assemble.  It doesn't show well in the picture but I painted the pieces and the flowers on this box with Twinkle Toes Glimmer Glam.
The flowers were created with two different size Marvey Punches.  Pink bling was inserted between the flowers to compliment the pink in the main focal point.  K & Company Elegance Designer Paper was used to cover the box and create the flowers.
So by now I bet you are wondering what you would use this box for, right?  Well here is what you could include in the box as a wonderful gift to someone!
A collection of Bath and Body Works products!  How fun is that.  I used the Eyelet Insert Card/Tag to decorate the bottles.  I just turned it upside down so the pretty decoration was at the bottom and punched a hole at the top to tie onto the bottles.  I repeated the decorations of flowers, the Bella Leafy Branch, and some pink bling.

As you can see, this would be a wonderful gift presentation-so don't throw out any of those corrugated boxes that you might think aren't pretty enough to alter.....they are.
Here's a little peek at the individual Bath and Body Works bottles.
Here are the Cottage Cutz dies used.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have a creative day wonderful day!  Take care and see you soon!

Vintage Altered Glassine Bag with Lace

Hi everyone!  Today is the last and final project for the swap I did over at My Scrap Room.  I just love the lace border on this Altered Glassine Bag.  The pretty lace flowers was one of the items I received in a recent embellishment swap I did.  Isn't it gorgeous.  I altered a clothespin to clip on this bag to keep it closed.  Inside I included some Bling and some pretty patterned bottle caps to alter.  Thanks for taking a peek today.  Hope you have a fun filled day in the craft room!

Altered Glassine Bag with Altered Key Closure

Greetings blogging friends!  Did I ever mention how much I love to alter glassine bags.  I just do.  I love the feel and sound and absolute versatility of them.  I have a bunch of different sizes in my cache'.  So fun.  So today is another project from the swap I did over at My Scrap Room.  This matches the Altered Matchbox and Mini Album I did for it.  For this project I used some things that were rejects from other projects.  The lace border was one of them.  I used the extra piece from the border to accent the tag.  A paper doily was glued to the top of the bag and I used an altered key to keep the bag closed.  I just love how the weight of the key keeps the bag closed perfectly.  I am definitely going to keep it in mind to do it again because I love it so much.  Inside this bag I included a couple of 7 Gypsies stamps.  Thanks for stopping by today.  I appreciate it.  Will see you soon with more from this swap.

CottageCutz Dakota & Daisy

Happy Wednesday-it's hump day.  It's all down hill from here to the weekend.   Isn't Dakota and Daisy Adorable.   I just had to include that little "I Love You" shaker sentiment on this card.  I was thinking of my "dearest" when I was making it.  I don't know if you have a husband who is a hunter, but mine might shoot this card....lol  Funny thing is, my husband only got one deer last year and he got that one because it ran into the car on his way to work!!!  That was to the turn of about $5,000 worth of damage to the car, but thank goodness my husband didn't get hurt.  Oh the luck of a hunter!!!
Dakota and Daisy are just adorable.  The Bella Spring Wreath was used in the background and the Bella Leafy Branch was used under these pretty Recollection flowers.  The card was made with the nested Spellbinders set called Elegant Labels 4.  The little "I Love You" sign is Recollection.

Thanks for stopping by today to view my creation.  Sure do appreciate it.  Have a wonderful day!  Here are the dies:

Altered Matchbox and Mini Album

Greetings my sweet friends and fellow bloggers. Here is a project I made for the Altered Matchbox and Mini Album hosted by Lydia (Itripledogdareu-youtube) over at My Scrap Room. What a fun challenge!  This has been completed for a while but I did not want to post it until I heard that my swap partner received it.
This is the Matchbox and mini together.  My swap pal Cynthia said she liked anything vintage, pink and brown.  The match box I purchased at Walmart to alter did not work for me at all.  When I painted it, it got so heavy and wet feeling that I didn't feel it would hold up.  It was yucky.  Could be the humidity here right now.  So I followed a video tutorial from Cythnialoowho on Youtube to create my box.  Great idea for those of you not knowing what to do with 250 matches with no box!!! lol
Here is the mini I made to fit inside the matchbox.   Mine takes up the entire space in the box.  My flowers are from Mon Ami Gabi, the greenery is a Marianne die, and the butterfly, of course, is a Martha Stewart punch.
This is the 1st and 2nd page of the mini.  The first page has two tags tucked into a Joy Craft Corner die.  The second page is a place for a photo that can be tucked under the roses.
This is the 3rd and 4th page of the album.  The third page has a Spellbinders D-Lite die ready for mounting a picture.  The fourth page is a pocket with cute little tags.
The 5th and 6th page of the mini include another corner Joy Craft die with tags and then a small tag on the 6th page that holds two more tags for journaling or pictures.
The 7th and 8th page include a pocket with tags and another D-lite frame with crochet flower accent with Marianne die greenery.  Here is a video of the album and other projects I sent to my swap partner.
Thank you for stopping by today.  I will be posting the rest off my projects all week long along with more things to share that have been happening in the craft room.  Have a wonderful day!

CottageCutz Bella Springtime Bird Card

Greetings Happy Bloggers and Friends.  Today is a Cottage Cutz design using the Bella Springtime collection.  The dies used are the Bella Springtime Bird for the main focal point.  The Bella Springtime Vine was used for each of the side panels and the Bella Floral Border was used for the bottom panel.
K & Company paper was used for the background and it was distress with Brushed Corduroy distress ink.  Tiny pearls were used to accent the vines and the floral border.
There are pearl swirls and Prima flowers as embellishments.   Don' you just love how lacy the card looks with these beautiful dies. I am so in love with the Bella Springtime Vine and it happened the first time I laid my eyes on it as it is unique. I love how it looks on this funky fold card.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I know I have been missing from my blog a bit.  I have been working on some projects I will be showing soon.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend.  Will see you soon!  Here are the dies used:
