This is the Matchbox and mini together. My swap pal Cynthia said she liked anything vintage, pink and brown. The match box I purchased at Walmart to alter did not work for me at all. When I painted it, it got so heavy and wet feeling that I didn't feel it would hold up. It was yucky. Could be the humidity here right now. So I followed a video tutorial from Cythnialoowho on Youtube to create my box. Great idea for those of you not knowing what to do with 250 matches with no box!!! lol
Here is the mini I made to fit inside the matchbox. Mine takes up the entire space in the box. My flowers are from Mon Ami Gabi, the greenery is a Marianne die, and the butterfly, of course, is a Martha Stewart punch.
This is the 1st and 2nd page of the mini. The first page has two tags tucked into a Joy Craft Corner die. The second page is a place for a photo that can be tucked under the roses.
This is the 3rd and 4th page of the album. The third page has a Spellbinders D-Lite die ready for mounting a picture. The fourth page is a pocket with cute little tags.
The 5th and 6th page of the mini include another corner Joy Craft die with tags and then a small tag on the 6th page that holds two more tags for journaling or pictures.
The 7th and 8th page include a pocket with tags and another D-lite frame with crochet flower accent with Marianne die greenery. Here is a video of the album and other projects I sent to my swap partner.
Wow, BEAUTIFUL projects, Carol! I love your mini and also the box. Love all the embellishments and decorations. I also like how you used different dies in your mini album. Simply GORGEOUS!

Oh, Carol - such a tiny, magical box - how ever did you manage to place so many wonderful tiny details on it! The gold EP on the edges of the vintage lady looks beautiful. I can't imagine creating the mini tag booklet with that many gorgeous tiny details on it! So darling, and precious. And all the interactive elements, too! I can visualize the delight on your face as you created this wonderful piece of art, Carol. It is gorgeous. Cynthia is going to be very happy! hugs, de
ReplyDeleteWow! That says it all! This is just an amazing work of art! You can certainly be proud of this mini masterpiece!
ReplyDeleteSuper gorgeous!! (I'm working backwards from the most recent on your blog... I've been delinquent in my visiting.) Thanks for the link on the matchbox vid too. I'm guessing the store bought match boxes are just cheap grade paper pulp and that's why it didn't do well with painting. Your album to go inside is fantastic and it's a keepsake as is, but it's nice you left room for photos too. Very thoughtful! Your swap friend will love it I'm sure. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I am sure your swap partner is on cloud nine to receive this beautiful set. Who wouldn't be? The paper, flowers, and all embellishments are just perfect.
