There's lots here happening at Chocolate Crafts and Bears, Oh My! I know, I know, my blog has had post few and far between of late-it doesn't mean I haven't been crafting away. As a matter of fact, I feel like a Scrapper on Steriods-I have done so many projects I haven't shared!!!! lol Wait until you see what's been cooking. I will be posting a bunch this week.
I made this card for the "Queen for the Day" over at Splitcoast Stampers. Trish had asked me to be the guest designer, so I couldn't refuse. I love Sunflowers. Gosh they are so pretty. So I had colored this PSX stamp and had it ready to go for a card. I cut and layered it three times. I LOVE the dimension I was able to achieve. I used stickles on the flower and glossy accents for the center.
The butterflies are Martha Stewart along with the punch-around-the page design element. The center is a Spellbinders die. The lacy corners are a Cheery Lynn die.
Are you in fall mode? I know I am. I am putting up my fall/Halloween decorations and cleaning. I haven't put my decorations up for about 4 years minimum I think. I am always sick at this time with my Asthma. I finally found out what is happening, how to control it, and am able to breath. It feels great. The doctor said that asthma is the only disease that people don't realize how sick they are. They just learn to live with it. Boy, when he said that, it described me to a "T". So I will share some pictures of my vignettes soon too. Happy Crafting!!!
this is gorgeous Carol so beautiful coloured and made.

Hello Carol. I'm not ready for Halloween yet, but i love this warm colors of the Fall. I am a huge suck for a Butterfly, but with the sunflower make it double lol.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous card with all those lovely layers.
This is a stunner! I can't believe how gorgeous the sunflower is when you do it in layers like this! It really pops it off the card & just gives it such a wow factor!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are getting help with your Asthma. Isn't it wonderful what they can do these days!
I can't stop looking at it, so many beautiful details!!! You rock!
ReplyDeleteOMG Carol ... this is STUNNING!! LOVE the beautiful, rich fall colors and the dimension is outstanding! Your work has always inspired me and continues to do so! Yes ... I'm in Fall Mode and in fact, got my inside decorated yesterday. It's been several years for me too so it was nice to make the time to get it done this year and hubby & I are really enjoying it!! Glad your asthma is under control enough that you too can enjoy this beautiful time of the year! HUGE HUGS from OHIO! Again ... WOWZA!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card!! Love it!!
ReplyDeleteI THOUGHT this was a PSX design! I have that stamp, too, but mine have never looked this good. NOT ONLY THAT, just when I thought you could not possibly make anything prettier than what I've already enjoyed on your blog, you showcase THIS MASTERPIECE, Miss Carol! WOWSER! Truly beautiful with the remarkable, life-like feathering in the flower petals, and the gorgeously vibrant earth-tone hues of Autumn. (but I must say that our sunflowers have been long gone here - they don't like the heat! LOL) (had to rib you about SOMETHING) So pretty with the dancing white butterflies around the borders to bring out the contrast, and the dazzling sparkle in the butterflies and petals! (BTW, that oval die just arrived today from Scrapbookpal.com) - so now I know how to use it (LOL) - Oh Carol, I do love you so, thank you for being my sweet Southern cyber friend who tolerates all my idiosyncrasies, humor, and definitely sincerity. hugs, de
