This card was created to send to the family of a very very dear friend I lost a few weeks ago. Oh my gosh I can't tell you what a shock it was to hear that she got sick with pneumonia and waited to long to go to the Doctor's. I had just talked to her on the phone a few weeks before she passed. She was my dearest friend and neighbor for many years. Since the first day I moved into my house here in Georgia from Connecticut we became friends. She helped me and my family with so many things and we helped her and her husband as well.
When her husband passed away a few years ago, she continued to live here even though her family was in Macon. Back in 2010/2011 the economy had finally taken a toll on her and she could no longer afford her home. So she moved back to Macon and went to take care of her aging parents there. I had missed her dearly and we had still kept in contact. Her sister called me to tell me she was in Hospice and they didn't know how long she would be there. My husband and I discussed going to Macon to see her one last time, but she passed the next day after we received the phone call. It has been a few weeks since I made this and mailed it. Today seemed like a good day to share it.Thank you for letting me share my card and my story. I appreciate you dropping by to take a peek. Sure do appreciate your visit. See you soon!

Oh, Carol. I don't know what to say. I'm very, very sorry for the loss of your dear friend. It must have been bittersweet creating such beauty in her honor, and to share your feelings not only with her family, but with your blogging friends.
Her family will be grateful that their daughter was remembered in such a loving manner. Your card is truly beautiful with all the frills - it reminds me of how every corner of friendship has some beauty in it, and how fragile our lives are.
Gentle hugs to you, my sweet blogging friend, and please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
