It's a Pink Christmas

Just a quick post to show you my Pink Christmas.  I didn't decorate as much as I usually do-but this year I decorated in Pink in honor of my dear Mother who passed away this year on September 30.
Pink is not an easy color to find to decorate for Christmas.  The selection of ornaments are pretty limited at best.  I have been collecting some things for the past 2 years.  I comb the thrift stores regularly looking for pink glass ornaments.  This year in the spring I came across a box filled with pink ornaments that were all in their original packaging for $7.99.  I think there was 100 ornaments total.    The pink poinsettia are from Michael's.  I just love them.
Last year at the End-of Christmas Clearance Sales, I picked up about 10 of these pretty Santa's.  They were 80 cents each and they were gold in color.  You have to think outside the box if you are going to do a pink theme.  I painted these guys pink and glittered their hats in pink glitter.  They turned out so pretty.
This was also another After-Christmas-Clearance ornament that i got last year as well.  This ornament was gold.  I painted it pink, used glitter on the center and rub n' buff to highlight the detail.
This is the Christmas tree in the Foyer.  The book wreath is a Pinterest inspiration.  I used pink washi tape to add color.
Even the tree skirt is pink!  It is also another thrift store find at $2.50.  Thank you so much for stopping by and letting me share my "Pink Christmas" with you.  Hope you had a very Merry Christmas.  I'll be back soon to share some more Christmas projects with you before the New Year.
Happy Crafting!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.  Oh what fun it is create with CottageCutz tonight.  Don't you just love the new Christmas release.  It's Carol here today.  My creation is using the beautiful Cottage Cutz Ornament, Nativity.
My background is a card from last years $1 bin at Michaels.  I think I only paid like 10cents for the pack at the after Christmas Clearance.  Again, I have used burlap.  I have used a lot of burlap this year.  Not only is it very popular, but I have been working all year on Wedding things and it still out on my table.  I love the texture.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I appreciate the visit.  Happy Crafting and see you soon!

CottageCutz Deer Snowflake Scene Card

Hello everyone and welcome to another CottageCutz Die creation.  Glad you could stop by.  This year there seems to be a lot of "Burlap" for Christmas.  Even the "Dollar Tree" is carrying burlap Poinsettia.  Have you seen them?  The burlap trend is no carrying over to Christmas.  This is what inspired me to create this card.
For this Christmas Card the following dies were used:  Deer Snowflake Scene, Snow Swept Border, Vintage Bells, Winter Frost Border, Deer, and Deer-Set.  There are pearls in the center of the snowflakes and I used glitter on almost all of the white cardstock.  This is called a "Stair Step" card just in case you would like to create one for your holiday needs.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Be sure to check out all the new Christmas release.  They are all super gorgeous and perfect for crafting your Christmas cards.  You will find that these dies make your crafts got together in a cinch and they are beautiful as well.  Until next time---Happy Crafting!

CottageCutz Snowman Card

Greetings everyone and welcome to a CottageCutz Creation.  This card was create with the beautiful dies in the Christmas Category.  Your Christmas Card Creations will be a cinch to make using these super cute dies.  These dies work up quick with beautiful results.
For this sweet snowman, I just die cut him on white card stock then used small pieces of black, red, and brown to die cut his accent pieces.  Then I just used a copic marker to color his nose.
The little pine branches were cut from the Elegant Christmas Bell and glued among the Michael's poinsettia I had picked up last year.  I distressed them with some blue ink and glued a few pearls in the center.  Thanks for viewing my creation today.  I appreciate it very much.  Below are the dies I used to create this sweet card.  See you again soon!

CottageCutz Halloween Pennant

Welcome friends and crafters.  Today I have a Halloween pennant to share with you using the beautiful CottageCutz Halloween dies.   This pennant is 11 inches long.  I did not use a template.  I just cut it out with cereal box chipboard and covered with designer paper.  The Haunted House is 4 x 6 and mounted on a large rosette.
For decoration across the top of the pennant the Spooky Iron fence was used.  The spiders are an older Martha Stewart punch.
The Filigree Bat was used to decorate the Rosette.  This was so much fun to make and would make a wonderful addition to you Halloween Home Decor projects.
Thank you for stopping by today to view my project.  I appreciate it very much.  Happy Crafting.  See you again soon.  These are the dies I used:

CottageCutz Fancy Baby Girls Clothes

Greetings friends and bloggers.  Today we have a cr2014 eation made with the fabulous CottageCutz dies from the 2014 Baby Release.  This is called the Fancy Baby Girls Clothes.
Aren't those little girls clothes darling!  I can't resist a banner-hence the creation of this clothes line to display
the sweet little outfits.  Each piece was cut with a different designer paper but all ordinate perfectly.
Tiny button accent the clothes and are complimented with the button embellishments.   The tiny little clothes pins hold the die cuts on bakers twine.  The Congratulations die cut is from the Expressions line release.  Doesn't gingham always glam up a baby card!
Thank you for stopping by today to view my project.  Sure do appreciate it.  Until next time, Happy Crafting.  See you soon.  Here are the dies I used:

Magnolia Luminary

Greetings everyone.  Photo heavy post ahead! Did I ever mention how in love with the Tim Holtz Sizzix Luminary die I am.  This is the third themed one I have posted and yet I still have another one waiting in the wings.
This was made for someone special.  It has already been sent out and received with a supply of tea light from the dollar store.  All the deep pink roses on this creation were made from punches.
This is the Luminary from the back. The fence is another sizzix die.  The Magnolia Tilda stamps were colored with Copic markers.
The little clock is Recollection.  The leaves are another Sizzix die.  The Butterfly, a Martha Stewart punch.
All the stamps were covered with glossy accents so that they would have some bulk and durability to them for this project.

The Luminary was mounted on top of a Laughing Cow Cheese box and then on top of a candlestick.  The candlestick is then again attached to a 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of wood.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Hope this brings inspiration to you for your own Luminary Die creations.  It's a wonderful die to have in your collection.  I will have another one to show you soon.  Happy Crafting!!!  See you soon.

CottageCutz Baby Girl Pocket Card

Greetings everyone and welcome to another CottageCutz Creations.   Today we have a pocket card with the beautiful Baby release over at The Scrapping Cottage.  Aren't the dies just darling!
The Fancy Dress die is featured on the front of the card envelope.  Isn't this so sweet.  I cut the dress on pink cardstock and distress with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, mounted the dress on the Tea Time Doily.  The Baby die from the Expressions release was used for the sentiment on this pretty card.
This card was created with a glassine bag.  In the inside pocket is this sweet tag made with the Fancy Mary Jane Shoes Die.  It doesn't get more "Baby Girl" than that!
It was so fun to create this.  I love rolling roses with burlap.  I think they are just so sweet.  Thanks for stopping by today to view my post.  I appreciate it very much.  Until next time, Happy Crafting and see you soon!  Here are the dies used:
