Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! Today I wanted to show you some Nugget Boxes that I made for the guys at work for Valentine's Day. For years, I used to make little projects like this for the girls I worked with. At my new job, I am the only woman. I knew I would make something for the guys, but my first instinct was that it was not going to be as much fun as giving them to women co-workers.
Today, I discovered it was a lot more fun to give them to men!!!! lol They were so surprised, so appreciative, and so complimentary. Well, God works in strange was. This is the feminine version of the Six Nugget Box that I made for the Guys at work to bring home to their wives. So I really made his and hers! lol I used both the scalloped spellbinders nestabilities and the nested hearts for the masculine version.

Happy Saturday everyone. Hope you get to do some crafting today. This is the card I made for my Mom for Valentine's Day that I sent with the Altered Whitman Box that is posted here. As you can see, it has two drawers in the front and two drawers in the back.
These Tilda images speak to my heart. I just think they are so sweet. I am practicing coloring with my copic markers on them. I have a long way to go, but you have to start somewhere...lol It's a lot of fun and I hope to be really good at it one day.
You can see in this picture that I placed some mini "Reeses" peanut butter cups in the drawers. I know my Mom loves peanut butter cups!!!
These flowers start out with a prima rose, then a white flower, and then a Martha Stewart Punched flower. Put a little stickles and some shiny baubles I found in the Bridal section at Micheal's and you have yourself a pretty little accent on your card.

Greetings friends and loved ones. Today I am pleased to show you a Whitman Chocolate candy box that I have altered. My husband was going to throw this away, but I snatched it just in time to make this creative little number.
Now there is a story behind this box....and why I made it. You see, my dear Mother has been home bound since October. She fractured 4 vertebrae in her back. During her recovery she has lost weight and went down to 86 pounds. Well, I know she loves chocolates, so I have been sending her boxes of chocolate so that she can keep her weight up.
This labor of love I started has cost me a box of chocolates a week!!! I did not know my Mother was such a Chocoholic!!!! lol Must run in the family!!!! So for Valentine's Day, this was sent off today filled with Lindor Truffles. I keep sending something I know she hasn't tried just so she doesn't get bored. I also sent her a card I will show you this weekend with more chocolate in it!!! lol I shall see if it will last a week....hahaha I have succeeded at getting her to 90 pounds at least.
Here are the roses I made to place on this box. Hopefully I can make that tutorial this weekend for you. I just used left over paper from covering the box to make the colored roses you see here to match. Very cool. I adore these roses.
Isn't this just the most darling box ever??? Yum and look at those chocolates. It was such a fun thing to do to present to my Mom. I know she is going to love it. It is very easy to do....so if you get some "Whitman" Chocolates for Valentine's Day Ladies from your sweethearts, take my advice and keep the box and make someone you love or even yourself one of these pretties.
A warm and hearty welcome to everyone. I hope this finds your warm and snug in your homes and not having to deal with the blustery weather. Here's a creation I made using the Hearts and Roses Digi Set found here at the Fred She Said Store. This is a really cool folding technique that I found here at StampArtic. Isn't this wonderful, when I saw it I new I had to try it. Not only is it a fun folding technique, but it reminds me so much of quilting I just had to do it.
See what I mean. This is the inside of the card. I printed out two sheets of the Hearts and Roses digi set and used some of the rose sprays for the four points on this card. I punched with a Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Punch and the new large lacy heart punch you see in the corners here. I distressed all the edges with tea dye distress ink. You can't see it in the picture, but I stickled all the edges. IRL this is amazing!
This is the card and the box envelope that I made to put the card in. I can't tell you how much fun this was to make. So get out a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock and start folding your way to a fabulous creation. You are going to love it. Thanks for stopping by. I have something else to show you again this week. Well, I bet you think I used Prima flowers on this instead...they look like Prima flowers don't they. I must confess that I made these flowers. With a punch and some glue, a little dazzling diamonds and stickles and I was able to achieve this. Cool huh! Can someone tell me if dazzling diamonds glimmer mist just looks frosty and not glittery? I am wondering if I might be doing something wrong. I have not gotten any glimmer mist that I care for because I don't see glitter when I spray....just frost like glistening. Help! lol
I have made a couple sizes of these roses and they look good in any size. I will share a tutorial with you when I finish my Mother's altered Chocolate box I am making her. I have my things ready to go for doing the tutorial, but my videotographer was busy this weekend pulling an engine....yes, we all have our projects around here.

Here is a little something I cooked up in my craft room this weekend. As a matter of fact, I have a few things I will be showing over the next few days. I am loving "Easel" cards. I haven't made very many, but I think now I am hooked.
I made this extra piece that slips under the middle for adding a personal message or a picture. The envelope box is 4 X 4 that you see in the foreground that I created especially for this card. The rose is rather chunky so this would not fit in a 4 x 4 envelope, it had to be an envelope box.At least this time I kept my template for my next little easel like this. I made one of these boxes for the Digital Delights Card here but I guess I didn't keep my directions. It is made with a 7-1/2" piece of card stock. Surely you do not think I have flipped my wig...but this is the Ladybug Tilda. And the reason you might think I am a little "off" is because this is the first time I have done a Tilda and this one has been sitting here for almost a year. Truth be told....I did not think my skills were good enough to color her!!!!So, I found a bag of images I purchased because I loved them so much....and now I am "JAZZED" to play. I wanted a Tilda Valentine image...so I covered the Little Lady Bug with the heart...but don't fret...I have an awesome idea and will be back with Tilda and the Lady Bug in the future.LOLDid I ever tell you how much I like to ink stuff!!! My sons ask me whats all over my hands....I tell them ink...remember when "you" used to play with ink and paints and get dirty....now it is my turn!!! LOL
You can't believe how excited I was when I saw this fabulous Digi from Fred She Said Designs. With a houseful of baseball fans and players it is the perfect image for a Valentine's Day Card!!! Tracy's images are some of the best on the net. This wonderful image is called "Catch Your Heart" and can be found here at her store!
The size of my card is 6 x 6. You can see here that I cut around the plastic and left about a 1/2 inch or so. I filled the bowl with this shaker material. Hint: If you are having problems with static electricity inside the plastic dome, you can take a dryer sheet and wipe the inside before placing your shaker material. You are going to glue this to your image....you can see mine in the foreground. I use 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue for my adhesive.
Once that has dried, you are going to make the portion of the embellishment that slips over the dome to hide the edges. In this picture, I cut a 5" x 5' piece of designer paper. This is so easy to do as long as you have your measurements correct. In the middle of that piece of paper, I used Martha Stewart's round circle cutter and put the blade of the knife in the 3-9/16 hole and cut out the circle. I then used the heart around the page punches from Martha Stewart. I used the same 3-in-1 glue to attach it to the card. 
I love inking the edges of my cards...so I have used the Rangers Tea Dye distress ink around all the edges. The hearts are a Martha Stewart punch and I cut a plain heart to line the underside of this lattice heart.
You can see in this picture what I am talking about with the thickness.
I hope you enjoyed viewing my project and will start using those pieces of plastic you would normally throw away. Just think about all the fun and fascinating things you can create with them and reuse these items to help save the earth!
Greetings everyone. Here is a Valentine card that I made using Fred She Said's Polka Dot Blossoms. I just love Tracey's flowers. Check them out here. The flowers are fun to work with and I love to manipulate them to bend and curl to my whimsy.
This card used almost two full sheets of flowers. I only had a couple left over. The hearts are a spellbinders die. I also used a Martha Stewart around the page punch and the lattice border punch to decorate this card. The heart pearls are from Michael's as well as the two size rhinestones in the center of the flower.
This is the inside of my card. The heart punch is from Martha Stewart, the corner treatments are a cuttlebug die cut and more Fred She Said Polka Dot Blossoms. The envelope is made from a kit from Priscillastyles and can be found here. A wonderful way to customize your cards. Hope you like viewing this.
