CottageCutz Wedding Luminary

Hello everyone and Welcome to CottageCutz Blog Hop for June. We will have lots to share with you today using the Beautiful CottageCutz Wedding dies, so be sure to grab your favorite drink ,and enjoy the hop.  You should have arrived her from Olena's blog.  If you get lost along the way be sure to go to the CottageCutz blog for the entire line up.

For my project today I have created a Wedding Luminary/Lantern with the beautiful CottageCutz Wedding dies.  The Tim Holtz Luminary Die was the inspiration for this piece.  Starting at the top the Wedding Day Expressions die is featured.
On the front we have the Wedding Rings, Garden Delight Butterflies, and Swans.  All leaves on this creation were cut with the Bella Leafy Branch.

The Tim Holtz Luminary sits atop a Laughing Cow Cheese box that has been decorated with the Wedding Border Die.  The Tea Time Doily has been used on top of the box.
The Bride & Broom grace the base of the luminary.  The Wedding Border has been used again to coordinate as trim for the perimeter of the wood block.  More butterflies, flowers, and Bella Leafy Branches  accent this creation.
Here are a couple more shots of the bottom decoration and the back of the Luminary.  This would be a beautiful centerpiece for a head table or as a cake topper if the cake is going to be several layers high.

CottageCutz Bridal Shower Paper Fan

Today I would like to share a project with you using the beautiful Wedding release from CottageCutz dies at The Scrapping Cottage.  Don't you just love all the sweet little "Epression Dies" that JoAnne has created.  They add another dimension to your die crafting needs.
Do you recognize the "Paper Fan".  It is from the dollar bin at Michaels.  There were two to a package.  You could get 2 small, or 2 large paper fans.  They were also available in two sizes in the color pink as well.  I purchased a bunch of them in both colors.  This is the first opportunity that I have had to play with them.  What fun-and talk about fast and quick.  I used the CottageCutz dies  Wedding Cake, Tea Time Doily, Garden Flourish, and the Bridal and Shower Expression dies.
Thanks for stopping by today to view my creation.  Just a reminder, be sure to join us tomorrow for our CottageCutz Blog Hop.  You won't want to miss what the design team has cooked up for you.  So be sure to stop by tomorrow for all the gorgeous creations.  Until then, Happy Crafting!  Here are the dies used:

Cottage Cutz Wedding Layout

Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of CottageCutz die projects.  CottageCutz has a beautiful Wedding release.  It's been a long long time since I have done a 12 x 12 layout.  I worked on this one for days-4 days as a matter of fact.  I found this picture of my beautiful Mother and I and knew I wanted to scrap it.
Here's a close up of the pretty Bride die.  She was perfect to accent my picture.
I used the Wedding Bouquet for the corner and colored it with Copic Markers to match the Spring Label that says Bride under the picture.  The Wedding Border die was used under the picture.
Yes, those are handmade tiny roses and yes they weren't easy to create-but they do look perfect and very sweet on this banner.  The corner of the picture has the Fancy Floral Butterfly Corner die.  You can see the Fancy Floral Background die on top of the pink accent piece.
Here you can see the Elegant Shoe, Garden Delight Butterflies, and the Fancy Lace Border on the edge of the picture.
This corner has a pretty pearl flourish.  Under the handmade rose is the Garden Flourish die.
The Fancy Floral Corner #1 was used on the right hand corner of the picture.  I used just the word "Bride" from the Bride & Groom Expressions die.  For the leaves I used the Bella Leafy Branch.  The paper is Melissa Frances.  You could say I consider this a labor of love because of all the detail.   Thanks so much for stopping by today to view my creation.  I truly appreciate it.  Happy Crafting!

Halloween Wedding Lanterns

There's a Halloween Wedding happening in Connecticut!   After seeing my friend Nancy's Christmas card post at What's On My Kitchen Counter I thought I would just go ahead and show you what I made for a friend of mine who is getting married Halloween!   She happens to love Halloween and skulls so I just went with it.  Her colors are orange and black with a hint of purple.  NOTE:  Just want to clarify that this is the Sizzix Tim Holtz Luminary die.
This was created with the Sizzix Lantern die.  It was cut first with lightweight chipboard then covered with paper.  I made the roses using distress stain.  The windows are all acetate smudged with black ink.  You can see the little tea light lit in the window.
Spooky little purple gem spiders accent the lantern along with rhinestone gems.
The wedding couple is a newly release CottageCutz die.  Their dancing in the grave yard.
The back this centerpiece has a little pumpkin and another spider.  The lantern is mounted on a altered laughing cow cheesebox that has been applied to a black painted candlestick holder.  Ruffled trim and pearls cover the box along with a punched fence from Martha Stewart.
Till Death Do Us Part is an appropriate sentiment for the theme of this wedding centerpiece.  It looks really cool lit up.  I just love it.

And yes, I made two to place on the head table.  When working on these I loved it so much I would light it up to enjoy how it looked.  My friend has already received these.  She loved them.  I will have a couple more things to show you that I sent to her.  Thanks for stopping by.  If you have any questions about this project, I would be happy to answer them.  Happy Crafting!

For the focal point I have used the CottageCutz Sweetheart Tiered Cake, Fancy Floral Lace Border, and Happy Expression Die and Birthday Expression Die.  It was just to fun to make!
Here's a peek on the side to show how the pillow box looks.  You can make these in different sizes depending on what you want to put inside.  They are just adorable.  Thanks for stopping by to view this project.  I really do appreciate it.  Until next time......Happy Crafting!  Here are the dies used:
