The Beauty of Irish Lace

Do you love to crochet?  If so, then you know how beautiful Irish Lace is.  Irish Lace was created by the Nuns in Ireland during the potato famine as a way to get through the poverty.  Irish lace is created with crochet thread and a tiny crochet hook and consist of beautiful roses and lace.
This was made for the Dirty Dozen theme of "Keeping You in Stitches".  I love to crochet so I thought I would use my crochet roses for this card.  The roses are mounted into the center of the Heartfelt Creations Posy Patch Die.

I used Rangers Bundled Sage Distress ink and white card stock to create this card.  The pearl center brads are from Michael's in the Bridal Section.  I sprayed my flowers with Sparkle Spritz.  I used a Cheery Lynn flourish die to compliment the flowers.  The center die cuts are from Spellbinders and the Martha Stewart Punch around the page is called French Scroll.  The pearls are recollection.  I also embossed pieces of card stock with a cuttlebug embossing folder.
Here is another close up of the flowers I created.   The sentiment is something I created in word and just printed out.
Thank you for visiting today.  I hope you have a wonderful day.  See you again real soon.

Vintage St. Patrick's Day Angel for Mom

Greetings Bloggers and welcome to my blog. Today, I wanted to show you a card that I am sending to my dear Mother in Connecticut. I have been itching to do a Vintage inspired card for a while and thought this would be perfect for my Mom. She loves and collects Angels, so I know she is going to love this. Plus it was time to put some more of her new favorite chocolates in the mail since she has eaten the chocolates I had sent her for Valentine's day.

Here is a nice closeup of the Vintage Angel I found. I cut is out with Spellbinders Nestabilites Labels 13. I cut out to two Angels and popped it for dimension. All the edges are glittered. I just Distress Ink Antique Line on the edges that I distressed with my Tim Holtz distress toll. I dry embossed the white papers. The clover bling is from Micheal's. Some of the flowers I made and some are purchased. I don't remember where I got the Sentiment. I have had it for a few years and may have won it in an auction on ebay! I used the Martha Stewart Frond and Branch for accenting the flowers. On the top portion near the Angel I intertwined some flourishes that I cut with some spellbinders dies.Thank you so much for stopping by today. May a little luck of the Irish rub off on you today. I would like to leave you picture of my Mom's new favorite Chocolates. I sent her these at Valentines day and they disappeared first!!! lol I love them too!!! Hope to see you soon. I have more cards to show this week.Challenges Entered
