Today I made what is called a "Triple" Easel Card.  Two Monday's ago this was the "Try a new Technique" Challenge over at split coast stampers.  I love that challenge.  I didn't get to do it on Monday but I did it this past weekend and it was fun!  This is what the back easel looks like close up.

This is the middle easel close up.  I used the sentiment  for the spotlight technique.

Cottage Cutz Tea Time

It's time for tea at The Scrapping Cottage.   Let me invite you to sit a spell while I show you this card I created with some of the Tea Time Dies.  Tea Parties are one of my favorite entertaining themes.  So grab a nice cup of tea, relax, enjoy the company, and feast your eyes on this creation .  Today I am doing something a little different.  I am linking up to Beverly's Pink Saturday.  I enjoy Pink Saturday so very much and felt if I didn't do it today I never would.  Pink is my go- to-color for crafting, wearing, and decorating my home.   So thank you Beverly for having me!

 This is the Tall Teapot and the Small Teacup.   Behind them is the Oval Doily frame.  While I was playing with the Oval doily I came up with some more ways to use it that I will show in the future.  This is one die that I will you use over and over again-the possibilities are endless.  I love that it looks like it is pin pricked and I didn't have to do a thing but run it through my die cutting machine to achieve that!!! 

 You can see what I am talking about in this picture.  See under the handle on the white die piece.  Yes it is absolutely lovely.  Working with Cottage Cutz dies makes your crafting so easy.  All I did was cut out the teapot and teacup, used a bit of "tea" dye distress ink, glitter, and some stickles and my image was done. 

 As you can see here in the corners I used the decorative flower for the teapot on my corners.  Don't you like to get the most bang for your buck out of your dies, plus coordinate the embellishing at the same time.  This set allows you to do that.

 I just cut the floral design out on white cardstock and glittered the piece with some Martha Stewart Rose colored glitter I had on hand. 

So now that you teacup is empty, I hope you have enjoyed viewing this card as much as I enjoyed making it.  This Tea Time Set is so beautiful.  I am in love with it and know I will use it over and over again.  So until your next visit, I will keep you close in my heart and always in my prayers.  Here are the dies are used for this card:

Fred She Said Parrot Tulip

 Just in case you haven't seen this I made this for the More is More Dirty Dozen Challenge back in February.  IAnyone who knows me knows that I always say how hard it is for me to do a CAS card-so this was a challenge....lol But all and all I had a blast doing this.
 

 Here is the more clean and simple card that I made.  I could have put more "stuff" on it but I tried to keep it as simple as possible and use the same ingredients I used in the more intricate card.

 Here is my more intricate card.  There are plies and plies of punches and die cuts on here and I just love it!!!  lol

Here is a close up of the flowers.  This image is a single fl I used the loopy punch around the page from Martha Stewart for this. The oval and the beaded oval dies are from Spellbinders as well as the fleur de lis pieces. I distress inked the edges with bundled sage distress ink and touched the edges with stickles. I used the same supplies for the less embellished card-just not as much.ower but I flipped it and cut three of the flowers out to create this.

Heartfelt Creations Tattered Trellis

Welcome to our Heartfelt Creations reveal Wednesday.  We are working with the Old English Garden release this week.  I wanted to make something that had a lot of detail.  This is jammed pack with detail.  Lots of die cutting and stamping and I enjoyed it so much.  The only "color" I used in this card was Rangers Vintage Photo Distress ink.  I love doing that!

 So a little bit about the card.  I used the diamond background stamp from the set for the stamped image directly behind the lattice work.  If you are looking for the tutorial on how to create the lattice-it is at the end of this post.  I also used the background stamp from the Broken Cinder Blocks to stamp the card stock behind the punch around the page piece.

Here is a close up of the tattered flowers.  I think this is such a pretty flower.  I love making these.  You can do them different ways for different looks.  I used some stickles to make them sparkle.

Key West

Today's post is going to be different-no cards!!!  I just wanted to share some pictures from my recent vacation.  We decided to take the cruise ship for our family vacation at the port in Jacksonville that is only 35 minutes from our home.  They only have 4 day and 5 day cruises and we usually do a 7 day.  So guess what we did, we did back to back cruises.  So we were gone for 9 days.    It was fabulous.

I fell in love with Old Key West.  It is just one of the most beautiful ports I have been too.  We rented an electric car and drove around the whole island just so we could see it all.

The vegetation and flowers are just beautiful.  Look at how gorgeous the sky is even in the background of the pictures!

This is Duval Street where all the tourist go.  There's Shopping, Restaurants, Bars, Hotels, Bed & Breakfast Establishments, Churches and everything else in between.

And here is an interesting tidbit-paved lawns!!!  No mowing necessary.  I saw a lot of this everywhere on the island!

 

This is one of the many fun signs you will find on the island.  I will be back another day with more pictures of Old Key West.  There is just so much I want to share because it was so beautiful.  So enjoy this tropical paradise in pictures.

Heartfelt Creations Tea Time

Welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.  We are working with the Old English Garden set for the month of May.  How exciting that we have a tea cup to work with.  I just adore anything with a Tea theme.  I have hosted many a tea party at my home to different groups of women.  My book club, my employees, my Sorority, and sometimes just tea for two.  I love tea-can you tell....lol  Some of my parties had themes.  We have dressed vintage before complete with hats and gloves and sometimes we did a Halloween theme which was a lot of fun.   So you know I will use this set a lot.
