Fred She Said Challenge #3 Think Spring

f
Hi everyone! It's time for the second (2) Fred She Said Challenge. Be sure to hop on over to the FRED SHE SAID CHALLENGE BLOG and join us for this fun challenge. You can enter you card there for a chance to win a $20 Gift Certificate to the Fred She Said Store.

For this months Challenge- In March we leave Old Man Winter behind so let's create a VERY SPRING-Y project, loaded with all those lovely pastel colors!

Here is mine!

This is called the Tulip Bouquet Digi. Isn't this the most awesome image you ever saw of tulips. I left my bouquet container white but traced the design in pink then shadowed the edges of the picture in blue. Over that I applied crystal effects to get it a nice porcelain look and effect.
You know I just love Rangers China Blue distress ink, so that is what you see around the edges. I uses a Martha Stewart around the page punch and a spellbinders oval die cut. I layered my image for a 3D effect. The blue rhinestone flourish is a Recollection from Micheal's.
I did some stitching with white thread around my card. I just stickles on the tulips and all the blue distressed areas. The blue ribbon is also from Micheal's. The background white paper has been embossed with a basket weave cuttlebug embossing folder.
This is the inside of my card. I used the tulip image from the Spring Flowers collection for the lower right hand corner on the bottom of the card. The more I look at this image, the more I love it.
This last picture features the card and the envelope that I made as a set. What an awesome presentation for a card presentation for someone special in your life. It is going to be hard for me to part with this one...LOL

Hello!

The work and detail that you put into your cards never ceases to amaze me! The insides and the envelope would make 3 additional and beautiful cards! I can understand how it would be difficult to part with this card - one would be thrilled to receive it! :<)

I missed this card earlier in the week & I'm glad I hit "older post" to see it!!!! These are my colors and this card is beyond gorgeous!!! Your use of punches amazes me and the sponging really sets it off!!! Great job my friend! TFS

Wow! What beautiful cards you make. I saw your card on the FSS site when I entered my card. I bought the spring flower set and a couple of others. I had to wait on getting a few others. One I want is the one you used. I've always liked boquets of flowers.

I'm also impressed by all of the corner punch stamps you use by MS. I have several, but have not used them as I should. Right now I mostly make cards, and I found them a challenge to go around the size cards I was making, however, after seeing your beautiful work, I will have to give it a go again.
