It's a Pink Christmas

Just a quick post to show you my Pink Christmas.  I didn't decorate as much as I usually do-but this year I decorated in Pink in honor of my dear Mother who passed away this year on September 30.
Pink is not an easy color to find to decorate for Christmas.  The selection of ornaments are pretty limited at best.  I have been collecting some things for the past 2 years.  I comb the thrift stores regularly looking for pink glass ornaments.  This year in the spring I came across a box filled with pink ornaments that were all in their original packaging for $7.99.  I think there was 100 ornaments total.    The pink poinsettia are from Michael's.  I just love them.
Last year at the End-of Christmas Clearance Sales, I picked up about 10 of these pretty Santa's.  They were 80 cents each and they were gold in color.  You have to think outside the box if you are going to do a pink theme.  I painted these guys pink and glittered their hats in pink glitter.  They turned out so pretty.
This was also another After-Christmas-Clearance ornament that i got last year as well.  This ornament was gold.  I painted it pink, used glitter on the center and rub n' buff to highlight the detail.
This is the Christmas tree in the Foyer.  The book wreath is a Pinterest inspiration.  I used pink washi tape to add color.
Even the tree skirt is pink!  It is also another thrift store find at $2.50.  Thank you so much for stopping by and letting me share my "Pink Christmas" with you.  Hope you had a very Merry Christmas.  I'll be back soon to share some more Christmas projects with you before the New Year.
Happy Crafting!

How lovely to share your pink Christmas, Carol! We pared down this Christmas with a new beautiful Victorian-Country style Christmas tree. We donated the 10' tall 6' wide tree.

My Christmas table was PINK! How ironic, huh? I have several pink ornaments. So I used my Great Aunt's hand painted Floral china - it is shades of pink with large roses, and a little greenery on it. The table was creamy tablecloth, layered with pale green placemats. Greenery and pine cones dressed the length of the table down the center, and then I put about 30 soft pink ornament baubles throughout the greener. There were soft white candles in the arrangement as well. This seated 12 of us. It was a country-victorian-girly Christmas table! LOL

See? Great minds think alike. Happy New Year, Carol. hugs, de
