Digital Delights Pickles the Penguin

Thursday is Digital Delight Day here at Chocolate Crafts and Bears, Oh My! It is a pleasure to work with Wendy's Digital Images. They are fun to color and a joy to create with. This image is called Pickles the Penguin and you can get this image here.

Recipe:
Punches: EK Success Morocco Lace, Martha Stewart Snowflake
Die Cuts: Spellbinders Snowflake 2
Accessories: All edges of paper distressed with Tim Holtz Distressing Tool then edged with black ink and silver stickles. Rhinestones, Crystal Stickles on Igloo, ribbon, pearls, Martha Stewart Glitters

This is the inside of my card. I repeated the images again and applied lots of silver glitter on the distressed edges. The Double Loop Punch Around the Page Punch by Martha Stewart for this.

Here is the card with the envelope that I created to match. I love the colors in this card as it glistens with an icy blue feel perfect of the North Pole!

Deedee's Digis - Warm Wishes Cocoa Bear

Today I am the Guest Designer at Deedee's Digi's. I have something fun to show you. This card has been created with a fun loving little bear holding her little cup of Cocoa. You can purchase this Digital image here. I decided to use some fun papers that would have different colors of brown for the color of Hot Chocolate! Yummy!!! I only wanted bright color on the bear. You can't see it in my pictures, but I glimmer misted the paper and it looks awesome.

The front of this card is as follows:
Paper-DCWV Natural Stack
Punches - Martha Stewart Deep Edge Double Loop, Martha Stewart Hot Cocoa embossing punch, Martha Stewart Branch punch
Spellbinders Nestibilities-Large Scalloped Squares, Large Scalloped Ovals, Large Ovals, Fancy Tags
Accessories-Prima Roses, Ribbon, Stickles, Glimmer Mist

Now this is where the fun part comes in. See that pocket on the inside of this card. Well, it is a cup of Cocoa. Yes, that's right - it slips right out of the pocket and here it is!

Isn't this cute. It is holding a packet of Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa Mix. If you would like to make this cup to hold your Cocoa packet, I have a tutorial on my blog here with directions qne how to make your template. Just for a reference, I used the Sizzx Fancy Flourish die cuts on the inside of the card and on this cup.

And one last picture. This is the card with the envelope box I made. My card is 6 x 6. I tried my card inside a regular 6 x 6 envelop that I make with my "Enveloper" and it will fit with the Cup of Cocoa in the card. I did have to make the envelope box for this card because my flowers are what made this card to chunky for a regular envelope.

Thanks for stopping by today. Just wanted to show you a fun way to use this cute image. What a wonderful way to share a small gift for someone special in your life. Let me know what you think!

Elegant Prancing Reindeer

A while ago I did one of these "Funky Fold" cards and just knew that I would want to do a Christmas one. Black, White, and Gold is one of my favorite color combination. So I have come up with this little number.

These pretty gold leaves come from Micheal's in there Christmas Floral Department. I used the Branch punch from Martha Stewart to trail in between the leaves. The Reindeer is gold embossed and is a Inkadinkadoo stamp. Spellbinders Large Oval Scalloped Nestibilities and the Fleur D Lis Pendant were used. The corners are a Cuttlebug die set. There is a ribbon bow, some rhinestones, stickles, and a couple Martha Stewart frond punches round out this creation.

Here is the card again with the envelope I made. I had some extra pieces so I worked them into my envelope design. Thank you so much for dropping by to view my crafty wanderings. I hope you have been inspired!

Fred She Said - Christmas Cardinal

Isn't this the classic image for a Christmas Card. Not only does it have the beauty of nature with this wonderful Cardinal, but it also has a sprig of Holly and Berries to add to the festive scene. This is the second in the series of three bird images that Tracey of Fred She Said has just released in her store. You can find this Christmas Cardinal here. I just love these bird images for Christmas.

I layered all my Cardinals - so as you can imagine- I had some Holly Berries left. So I used them to accent the inside of my card.
This is the card and envelope that I created together. I edged all my papers in gold stickles so that this really sparkles and shine. The papers are from the new DCWV Christmas stack and you can see there is holly in the stripes.
Recipe:
Punches- Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Gothic Arches, Martha Stewart Deep Edger Daisy Fan
Spellbinders - Large Scalloped Nestiabilities
Ribbon, stickles, sticker

Thanks for stopping by today. I will be doing the Robins that are in this set in the future. I know you will have fun crafting with these beautiful birds. So stop by Tracey's store and get yourself the set for Christmas and WOW your friends with your Christmas Greetings this year!

Stampendous-Snowlights

Today I am showing you my first attempt with Copic markers. For my Birthday, I had asked my husband to get me a few as I really wanted to try them out. I have been unhappy with my current coloring techniques and have been frustrated with my outcomes. Well, I am hooked now. I know I have a long way to get the results I have seen other Copic users present-but I do love the vivid color and shading you can achieve. Don't look too close as the green, yellow, and orange colors on this are not Copics!! I couldn't get that many. lol But I do have my request in for Christmas now!

Recipe
Paper- Unknown-This is something I had in my stash forever-before I knew to save the names of stuff!
Spellbinders-Snowflake Die
Stamp - Stampendous Snowlights
Doily, Ribbon, various Martha Stewart Glitters, Snow Writer for texture

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I really appreciate it.
