Hello Crafters. Did anyone get these Burlap Photo Holders from Michael's this spring. They had the butterflies and birds and I don't remember what else. I have been scoping out Pinterest looking for anyone that has altered these and haven't been successful. This one was altered for a swap I was in that had a Butterfly Theme. It was perfect to fit the theme.
The wings on the butterfly are trimmed with small doilies that I crocheted. The little butterflies are Marthat Stewart. The big butterfly is a CottageCutz die as well as the little blue flower. The yellow flower is Sizzix and the Carmelia is a Spellbinders die.
Thanks for stopping by today. Until next time, Happy Crafting. See you soon!
Hello friends and crafters and welcome to a "catch up" post of a project that I created back in September of 2014. Just to let you know, I am pretty smitten with the Luminary Die from Tim Holtz. This may be like the 5th configuration that I have created.
Several other complimenting dies were used to embellish this luminary. I used the Spellbiners Sunflower Die, a Sizzix Daisy die was used for the smaller sunflowers you see on here. The Sizzix Decorative Strip die called Autumn Gatherings are the little leaves and twigs you see.
The acorns came from Michael's and the little pumpkins and fall gourds are from the Dollar Tree. They were perfect addition to this fall creation.
As you can see in the back, the luminary is sitting on top of a Laughing Cow Cheese Box that is mounted on top of a painted candle holder.
I just loved this luminary. Of course, I do not have it anymore. I sent it to my BFF. She loved it. I am still playing with ideas in my head to use this die again for. I know that I will get a lot of use out of it as I just love the results. Thanks for stopping by today to let me share an older project with you. Until next time. Happy Crafting.
Greetings everyone. Photo heavy post ahead! Did I ever mention how in love with the Tim Holtz Sizzix Luminary die I am. This is the third themed one I have posted and yet I still have another one waiting in the wings.
This was made for someone special. It has already been sent out and received with a supply of tea light from the dollar store. All the deep pink roses on this creation were made from punches.
This is the Luminary from the back. The fence is another sizzix die. The Magnolia Tilda stamps were colored with Copic markers.
The little clock is Recollection. The leaves are another Sizzix die. The Butterfly, a Martha Stewart punch.
All the stamps were covered with glossy accents so that they would have some bulk and durability to them for this project.
The Luminary was mounted on top of a Laughing Cow Cheese box and then on top of a candlestick. The candlestick is then again attached to a 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of wood.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Hope this brings inspiration to you for your own Luminary Die creations. It's a wonderful die to have in your collection. I will have another one to show you soon. Happy Crafting!!! See you soon.

Guess what day it is??? Guess what day it is??? Have you seen that commercial for Geico with the Camel. It is so cute. Yesterday was hump day. Yes that is right and I unashamedly look forward to it every week. It means I only have two more days of real work before I can play in my craft room. That is why I just love that commercial!!!
Today is a project share I made some time ago as a Birthday gift to a friend. It was so much fun. I just love making these things!!!! What we have here is an altered Matchbox and enclosed mini album. Don't you just love the sweet birds. They are from K & Company.
Here is the inside of the album. It is filled with lots of bird related tags for journaling and pictures.
This is the last page in the album.
The box on the outside is decorated with lace and pretty pearls along with rolled roses from the Bitsy Blossom Spellbinders die.
What Birthday gift would be complete without a sweet little easel card to tuck into the box. I used the same images, dies and roses to match the altered matchbox.
These are altered clothespins that I tucked inside the box I mailed as a little added gift. I just loved making these. I decorated the packaging to match everything.
This was also tucked into the gift. Some little stick pins that I enjoy making. Thanks so much for stopping by today to view this very long post. Glad you could stop by today and join me for a moment,. I will see you soon. Here's a little video with more details about this project.
Hi everyone! Today is the last and final project for the swap I did over at My Scrap Room. I just love the lace border on this Altered Glassine Bag. The pretty lace flowers was one of the items I received in a recent embellishment swap I did. Isn't it gorgeous. I altered a clothespin to clip on this bag to keep it closed. Inside I included some Bling and some pretty patterned bottle caps to alter. Thanks for taking a peek today. Hope you have a fun filled day in the craft room!
Greetings blogging friends! Did I ever mention how much I love to alter glassine bags. I just do. I love the feel and sound and absolute versatility of them. I have a bunch of different sizes in my cache'. So fun. So today is another project from the swap I did over at My Scrap Room. This matches the Altered Matchbox and Mini Album I did for it. For this project I used some things that were rejects from other projects. The lace border was one of them. I used the extra piece from the border to accent the tag. A paper doily was glued to the top of the bag and I used an altered key to keep the bag closed. I just love how the weight of the key keeps the bag closed perfectly. I am definitely going to keep it in mind to do it again because I love it so much. Inside this bag I included a couple of 7 Gypsies stamps. Thanks for stopping by today. I appreciate it. Will see you soon with more from this swap.
Greetings bloggers. Today's project is a small altered glassine bag that was made to match the Altered Matchbox and Mini Album. It has a little tiny clothespin closure and an altered bottle cap embellishment along with a crochet flower. This was created for my swap partner over at My Scrap Room and I enclosed some small crochet doilies and crochet flowers that I made. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I really appreciate it. See you soon!
Greetings my sweet friends and fellow bloggers. Here is a project I made for the Altered Matchbox and Mini Album hosted by Lydia (Itripledogdareu-youtube) over at My Scrap Room. What a fun challenge! This has been completed for a while but I did not want to post it until I heard that my swap partner received it.
This is the Matchbox and mini together. My swap pal Cynthia said she liked anything vintage, pink and brown. The match box I purchased at Walmart to alter did not work for me at all. When I painted it, it got so heavy and wet feeling that I didn't feel it would hold up. It was yucky. Could be the humidity here right now. So I followed a video tutorial from Cythnialoowho on Youtube to create my box. Great idea for those of you not knowing what to do with 250 matches with no box!!! lol
Here is the mini I made to fit inside the matchbox. Mine takes up the entire space in the box. My flowers are from Mon Ami Gabi, the greenery is a Marianne die, and the butterfly, of course, is a Martha Stewart punch.
This is the 1st and 2nd page of the mini. The first page has two tags tucked into a Joy Craft Corner die. The second page is a place for a photo that can be tucked under the roses.
This is the 3rd and 4th page of the album. The third page has a Spellbinders D-Lite die ready for mounting a picture. The fourth page is a pocket with cute little tags.
The 5th and 6th page of the mini include another corner Joy Craft die with tags and then a small tag on the 6th page that holds two more tags for journaling or pictures.
The 7th and 8th page include a pocket with tags and another D-lite frame with crochet flower accent with Marianne die greenery. Here is a video of the album and other projects I sent to my swap partner.
Thank you for stopping by today. I will be posting the rest off my projects all week long along with more things to share that have been happening in the craft room. Have a wonderful day!
Greetings and welcome to theCottageCutz Blog Hop. We have lots to share with you today using the Beautiful CottageCutz Dies so be sure to grab your favorite drink and enjoy the hop!
For my project today I decided to alter a mailbox that I had picked up in the dollar bin at "Target" some time ago. What prompted this project was a desire to do something awesome with the Envelopes and Tags from the This n That collection as a gift presentation. I was inspired by a piece on Pinterest find here.
The beautiful shabby chic Primrose Stack from DCWV are the papers used in this project including the hand-made flowers. Spellbinders Bitsy Blossom was used to create the roses. The vintage images are actually alter bottle caps that I made for this project. The tinsel is from Michael's that I picked up on sale a couple of weeks ago.
There are also to stickpins that I created that are at the top of the bow. A paper doily is adhered under the bow. Martha Stewart Butterflies are sprinkled throughout. There are a few crystal bling sprigs intermingle with the pretty roses and everything was touched with diamond stickles.
Here is the mail box opened to reveal the pretty gift cards enclosed. Wouldn't these be lovely to have on hand for those last minute gifts and housed in such a pretty container!
Here are the pretty envelopes. In keeping with my Shabby Chic theme, the envelopes are white and the little tags on the inside are from The Primrose Stack Collection.
Each packet is done in matching sets of three. A pretty satin ribbon was tied around the set. A list of CottageCutz dies will be at the end of this post. Thank you so much for joining us today for The CottageCutz Blog Hop. Your next stop is Lisa"s Blog.

Hello everyone and Happy Saturday. This is a project I would like to share with you. It is something I created for a friends Birthday. I just love how the birdhouses turned out and I adore the album and hope you do to once you have a look.
This is the birdhouse on a pedestal that I picked up at Michael's. I have a coupon so this was 85 cents. With all the work I did to this it looks more than 85 cents..lol
This is a little different shop of the Birdhouse so that you can see the roses I made and place on the roof.
So what we have here is a small hanging Birdhouse, a Birdhouse on a Pedestal, and a giant clothespin picture holder. All these papers come from the dollar bin at Michael's.
Here is the front cover of the mini album I made to go with this set. This album measures 6"x6" and is made (again) from an album from the dollar bin at Michael's. I created the birdhouse myself on the front of this cover and the bird was a brooch.
Here is the second and third page with embellishments. The little lace envelope is from Cottage Cutz at The Scrapping Cottage-so very sweet and cute.
Here is the 4th and 5th page of the album.
Here is the 6th and 7th page of the album. The little birdhouse I used is from Heartfelt Creations Garden Romance Collection. Below is a little video that I made of this project should you care to see more!
