Halloween Shadow box featuring Sizzix Tim Holtz dies

Greetings friends and crafters.  With Halloween being just right around the corner, I thought I would share some of my projects this week that I created for the season.  This is an alter tag shaped door or wall hanging.  Of course, you can also use it for a shelf display.
This shadow box is a "Dollar General" find that I converted with lights, die cuts, and stickers.  It was so fun to create.  The light element is so fun and festive.  The Ghost, Tree, and Cobwebs are all Tim Holtz dies.  Tim Holtz makes the best Halloween dies ever in my humble opinion.  The Haunted House you see here is a sticker that I purchased from Michael's a couple years ago.
This project was a delight to create.  It is one that I will enjoy for many years to come in my Halloween vignettes.  Please check back as I will be adding more projects for Halloween this week.  Until next time friends, Happy Crafting.

Hello friends!!!  So here I am again with another one of these cards.  It's a Spellbinders 3D Vignette die.  I love these dies.  Pair it with a Gorjuss Girl and it will melt your heart.   Don't you just love that sweet little kite shaker too!!!!  This was the card I sent with the Happy Mail that I themed "Kindness".  I have a couple more things to post and I will be moving on to some Christmas, then Halloween and Fall projects.
Thank you so much for hanging with me today.  I have so much to share.  These days I am pretty busy with a full time job, taking care of my little Granddaughter, and keeping up with the laundry, cooking, and housework.  You don't know how much I appreciate you.  Until next time, Happy Crafting.

Happy Mail Binder Goodie Holder

Hello friends and crafters.  Today I want to share this 6 x 9 binder that was purchased at the Dollar Tree.  The idea for a flip book was rolling around in my head, but I just didn't have the time to create a binder.  When I saw this at the Dollar Tree, I knew it would be perfect for what I had in mind.

This was happy mail I sent to Sherry over at Craft, Pray, Repeat.   "Kindness" was the theme I chose for this project along with the Gorjuss Girls that are so loved.  The above picture shows a tag that was created that fit perfectly in a clear plastic pocket in this binder.  Check out that little cloud shaker.  Isn't it cute!
This page has a pocket holding some lace doilies and crochet flowers.  This little Gorjuss girl sitting on books is super cute.
The lace corner on this page is from Heartfelt Creations.  That package of pearls nicely tucks right inside!
All the flowers were created by hand.  These are some rolled Marianne die roses cut with felt.
The daisies are Spellbinders and Elizabeth Craft Designs are the small ones.
To create the pages, two pieces of design paper were glued together and holes punched to fit in the binder.
Lots of little goodies were able to be fit in all the pockets.  All the sentiments were created on the computer.
This was a fun project to create.  It was a real pleasure to put together and send.
The last page holds some great shaker sequins in little glassine bags.  "Bliss" is from Hedi Swapp.
Just to show that the back of the binder was covered.  Thank you so much stopping by today to view this project.  I sure to appreciate it.  I have so much more to post here and catch up on so be sure to check back.  Halloween is what I am currently working on and boy there are some things you won't want to miss.  Until next time friends, Happy Crafting!!!

Christmas in July Altered Ribbon Spool

Happy Christmas in July everyone!  July is a great time to sit down a do a few Christmas projects to get a head start when you aren't rushed during all the festivities in December.  For this project a ribbon spool I had on my desk and ready to throw away was rescued!!!  Look how adorable.  I just tore it apart and recovered the cardboard with paper.  The house is a Recollection die from Michaels, the Gingerbread man is a piece of felt from trim I was gifted.

The peppermint in the front is a Martha Stewart punch.  The trees are from Aliexpress.  They are a set of three sizes.  I used the medium and the tall.  This was so much fun to make.  I want to make more of these for gifts.  I won't be throwing away those ribbon spools anymore...lol

Happy Crafting friends.  I will have more to share with you for Christmas in July as well as some other projects that I have been working on.  See you soon!

Spellbinders Grand 3D Arch with Cottagecutz Mrs. Snuggles

Can you ever go wrong with Mr. Snuggles?  He is my all time favorite Cottagecutz die.  He's so versatile.  You can create him to fit any theme you have in mind by changing what he holds in his hands!
The card was created using Spellbinders Grand 3D Arch die.  For a little added design a punched border was added to the back of the card on the top.  The roses are created with a Sizzix 3D Bigz die called Flowers.  So pretty and so fun to create.  As you can see, little pearls were added to the centers of the flowers.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Sure do appreciate it.  Until next time....Happy Crafting.

Spellbinders Grand 3D Arch meets Elizabeth Craft Wisteria Trellis

This lovely Grand Arch 3D die from Spellbinders is absolutely beautiful, don't you think?  Creating with this die is a dream.  For the flowers an Elizabeth Craft Wisteria Trellis die was used.  Both these dies look like they would made for each other!
For the inside scene two Cottagecutz dies were used.  The Springtime Tree from Cottagecutz is the big tree in the background.  The die in front of that is the Cottagecutz Days of Spring Scene.  The fence is just a die in my stash.
Lots of layers create this beautiful keepsake card to put on display for years to come.  It's a fun card to create and give to someone special!
Thank you so much for stopping by today.  There is a tutorial on YouTube if you would like to see how this card is created.  You can find it here:
Be sure to check it out.  I will have one more of these Grand 3D Arch cards to share with a different configuration.  Until next time...….Happy Crafting!

Sizzix Gorguss Girl Trinket Box for Mother's Day

Just one more Mother's Day project to share with your today and its a whopper!!!!!  This Sizzix Book & Pages Trinket Box die is a winner in my eyes.  Oh how I love this die.  It is so fun to make and put together.  You'll be seeing more of these in the future.
Just had to use these sweet little Gorjuss girls to decorate the book create to fit inside the box.   All the stamps have been colored with copic markers.  There is a acetate window on the door of the box.
This is page two and three inside the book.  The paper used for this project is from Prima called Rose Quartz.
This is page 3 & 4.  Each Gorjuss Girl is as sweet as the next.  A variety of different dies were used on each page.  Don't you love die cutting.  It's so fun!!!
Here is page 5 & 6 of the book.  I didn't make it too embellished so that it would fit in the box.
Thank you so much for stopping by today to view this project.  I have more coming up in the next few days.  I have been having fun in the craft room.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!!!

Mother's Day Sizzix Scallope Bag with Gorjuss Girl Stamp

Are you as smitten with Gorjuss Girls as I am?  They are so cute!!!  Hello my friends and fellow crafters.  Here is a little creation for Mother's Day using a Sizzix Scalloped Edge Bag die.
The paper used is from Prima called Rose Quartz.  I'm so in love with that paper.  The roses were created with a Sizzix Die called 3D Flower #2.  The leaves are a Nellie Snellen die and the Flourish is a Cheery Lynn Die.  Little pearls were added to the center of the flowers.  This cute little bag is big enough to hold Alex and Ani bracelets as I had put a couple inside.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Happy Mother's Day.  Until next time....Happy Crafting!

Spellbinders Grand Arch 3D Die meets Gorjuss Girl

Greetings friends and crafters.  For today, I would like to share a Mother's Day card that was created with a Spellbinders Grand Arch 3D die.  I am in love with these dies.  I only have this one, but I can assure you that the other two are on my wish list!  Don't you just love all the layers?  It's also very easy to assemble and folds flat to mail.  It's awesome!
The image inside is Gorjuss Girl #24 Heartfelt.  She's so sweet and perfect for a Mother's Day Card.  She was colored with Copic markers.  The Roses are created with a Sizzix die called:  3D flower No.2.  They were distressed with Victorian Velvet ink with a pearl center.  The leaves are a Nellie Snellen die and the flourish is Cheery Lynn.  The scalloped edge on top is a Martha Stewart punch.
You can see all the layers here.  There are a total of 6 to create this card.  The 3D effect is stunning. Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I have a couple more projects to share for Mother's day.  Happy Mother's day to you.  Until next time, Happy Crafting.

Greetings friends and crafters.  Here's a little something I'm sending off in the mail today.  It's an Easter card created with the super cute Cottagecutz die called Sweet Fluffy Bunny.
As you can see, this is a shaker card.  I really love shaker cards.  I gave the bunny a darling fluffy pom pom tail.
This is an easel card.  I used the Cottagecutz Happy Easter Egg on the bottom.  The butterflies are Martha Stewart and the little banner is from La La Land.  Hope you like it!  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

CottageCutz Bee Hives Memorydex Card

Have you tried Memorydex cards?  Wow, they are little pieces of art that you can use the backs of for journaling and pictures.  Or you can just line them up in a Memorydex box and flip through them just to look at how pretty they are.  Even for inspiration for your next project.
They are so fun to create.  There are at least two groups on Facebook where people go to swap and trade these cuties.  One group is called the Memory Dex Swaps and the other is called Rolodex Card Addiction.  There are even tutorials on Youtube where you can make your own boxes with straws to keep these in.

Thanks so much for stopping by today to check out my project.  I am trying to get better at posting here.  If you like this card, I can post my February Valentine one.  Also, check out my YouTube channel "Carol Hurlock" as we have a Cottagecutz Easter Blog hop where you can when some fabulous gift certificates to The Scrapping Cottage.  Happy Crafting!

Cottagecutz Valentine Box and Card

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!  Now here's what you can do with those boxes you saw at the
Dollar Tree.  Yes, that is what this is!  I purchased this and popped the red heart off and cut the gold heart to place under it and re-attached to the box.  It was easy to pop off with no damage to the box.  I added the very cute Cottagecutz Mr. Love Bug to the box and Tweet Love Dies.
Isn't this Cottagecutz Tweet Love die just darling in the center.   There are so many things you can put in this box and they had different sizes.  The size I chose was the 6 x 6 box.
In side the Dollar Tree box I placed a card that I created with the Cottagecutz Hoot Loves You die.  The Boy and Girl Owls are simply adorable!
The card is 5-1/2 x 5-12 inches and fit perfectly inside the box. It's better than making your own box. This is being sent to my BFF/Sister in Connecticut and makes a pretty presentation in the box that I sent to her.
The Cottagecutz Hoot Loves You is so sweet.  The boy and girl owl are so fun.  I found a sticker in my stash that fit perfect on the heart body of the girl.  An older Martha Stewart Punch around the page was used for the square border around this card.
Rolled roses are such fun to make. Just wanted to show a close up and how pretty the sparkle is on them. I will be having a tutorial soon on my YouTube channel on how to make them.
They are cute don't you think.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I still have more Valentine to share.  I am trying to get used to some new programs and a new computer so I am slow getting my things posted.  Until next time.....Happy Crafting.
