Heartfelt Creations Door To My Heart Hanging

Ok, so I was in my craft room Saturday afternoon thinking about this Sentiment I was about to use for this creation.  The Door of My Heart" was the inspiration for the results.  This is not what I had intended-it was suppose to be a card!!!  lol  But as I was pulling out punches and die cuts this took on a life of it's own and became a wall hanging, I kid you not!!! hahahaha

How could I not use this beautiful Martha Stewart deep Heart Scroll Punch with the Heartfelt Creations Chateau Gate.  And while I was playing with the heart, I noticed how beautifully the decorative piece from the Decorative Butterfly/Border looked under the heart-just like it was made to accent the heart.
This was the first time I opened up that Victorian Velvet Distress Ink that I got for Christmas.  Boy is that ever a beautiful color.  Be sure to check out the Heartfelt Creations Blog for the full details on how to create one of these.  Thanks for stopping by!

Heartfelt Creations-Telescoping Hideaway

Do you know what day it is?  It's Heartfelt Creations Wednesday, my favorite day of the week!  This week I want to show you a new technique I found at SCS called Telescoping Image.  I didn't do mine exactly like the way the challenge directions were-but I love the results.

So I put a little spin on this.  It seems I purchase a Krylon Pale Gold leafing pen back in September of 2011 at the Creative Keepsake convention and haven't use it.  I was going to use the pen to run along the edges of my acrylic albums.  So I had the idea to run that Krylon pen around each spellbinders die cut in the telescoping image.

Here is a close up what it looks like.  So I carried it a bit further and ran that pen along every edge of every piece of paper that was placed on this card.  The die cuts, the flowers, the punches, the design paper.  I loved the result.  So what do you think?  Is this something you would do on your cards?   Be sure to check out the Heartfelt Creations Blog to see my Design Team Sister's Beautiful Creations.

Fred She Said Hydrangea Vase

Hey everyone.  I am back again this week with another creation.  Usually I have a hard time getting anything done during the week.  When I come home from work after doing chores most times I am just too tired to create.  But I have been having coffee in the afternoon around 3ish or so and I come home not so tired....lol

This creation was made with the Fred She Said Hydrangea Bouquet found here.  Is this not purdy!!!  I used the Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch and punched all the little flowers.  The Hydrangea punch that I used is the one with the two tiny flowers and one medium.  So I punched a bunch of these and distress inked them with spun sugar first and then worn lipstick over that.  I left some white spaces  even on the flowers.  Then I glued them on the bouquet.
See how dimensional it looks.  I took some crystal stickles and ran it over the petals.  The butterflies are Martha Stewart and I double layered them and distressed them to match the flowers and of course used more stickles.   I also used crystal effects on the vase.  It doesn't show in the picture but it makes it look like glass.
The Martha Stewart punch around the page is called Cherry Blossom.  I have also used cuttlebug vintage corners, a cuttlebug embossing folder and spellbinders die.  The Lacey die cut on the top and bottom framing the vase is from heartfelt creations.   Hope you like this creation.  I am working with some more Fred sometime soon.  I got more stuff floating around by head!!!  Thanks for looking!!!

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday

Welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.  I was inspired to make a teal card by one of my Punchkateer Friends.  So I found this designer paper in my stash and used teal as the main color.  I have to tell you how much I enjoy making my own flowers.  These were so fun.  I loved the fact  that the leaves in the stamped image match the leaves in the Spellbinders Carnation Creations die.  So it was easy peasy to embellish this card.
Here is a close up of the pretty flowers and the embossed heart.

Other:  Spellbinders  Classic Heart Die, Cuttlebug Basket Weave Embossing folder, Martha Stewart Decorative Heart Edge Punch Around the Page,  Martha  Stewart Large and Medium Butterfly Punch, Crimper, Rhinestone, Ribbon, Crystal Stickles, Recollection Pearls,  Rangers Antique Linen Distress Ink, White Cardstock and designer papers.

For my second card today, I was thinking about my husband.  Last Saturday was the last day of deer hunting season here in Georgia.   Believe it or not, one of the deciding factors for our moving here were the beautiful sunsets.  The sky turns red just like this on some nights.  It is so beautiful.  So that was the inspiration for this card.

Handsome Hydrangea

Greetings Peeps-here's a little number I did the other day.  I was choosing some paper for a card I was creating and came across this image I colored a long time ago with pencils and thought I would make a card with it.
This is a sketch I found on Feline Playful but it was one that was already closed-I loved it so much I had to do it anyway.  I also have missed using my sewing machine so I did lots of stitching on this card.  Now that Christmas is over-it is time to take out my Martha Stewart butterfly punches as well.

I used dusty concord distress ink on this card.  It was nicely tucked in my stocking at Christmas.  I just love this color.  I can see myself doing more "purple" colored cards because of it.

The pearls are recollection from Michaels.   The stamp is Inkadinkadoo Hydrangea.  It's one of my favorites.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to stop by Wednesday for Heartfelt Creations day.  I am trying to kick start my Mojo.  It has been cold the last few days.  I can hardly wait until it is light later at night.  It makes me want to stay out in my craft room longer.  I have lots of ideas and no time...lol  Take care, be happy, and create!!!!

Red Sox Fan Meets Yankee Fan

There comes a time when you have to put the rivalry aside and make a card that will certainly brighten up a Yankee Fans day.  I grew up watching and loving the Red Sox because of my Dad.  He was a die hard Red Sox fan.  Now in my house we have two Red Sox Fans and two New York Met Fans.
This card is going to a 9 year old boy who has had a brain tumor removed just before Christmas.  He is the son of one of my punchkateer friends.  I have had this idea for a while but no time to put it together.  I finally did it this weekend and will be sending this out on Tuesday.

I had my son look through some of his baseball cards and came up with some Yankee Baseball cards to include in this card.  I wanted a cool way to include them.

So what I did was take some A2 cello bags and layered them together and sewed them into the inside
of the card on top of where I will be writing my greeting.  I showed it to my boys and they thought it was cool.  I am hoping for the same reaction from my recipient.  What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by today.  For those of you with tomorrow off-enjoy your day.  I have to go to work but I have lots to do...I need to be there...lol  See you soon!!!

Heartfelt Creations Chateau Gate Collection Stained Glass Window

Greetings Bloggers and welcome to my second edition of the Chateau Gate Collection creations for Heartfelt Creations.  Today I want to show you something that was inspired by several of the sweet vintage churches that exist here in my county in Georgia.  I had the pleasure of taking a tour one Saturday of some of these churches.  Churches that are so far in the country that they had sconces on the walls and oil lamps to light the church.  It was so beautiful and amazing.  The beautiful stain glass left an impression on me!

To create the stained glass I used Martha Stewart Micro Beads.  I just love miro beads.  You can see in this close up how it looks.

Here is a close up of the pretty Spellbinders Rose creation flowers.  I love making these roses.  So fun!

Heartfelt Creations Napkin Fold Card

Greetings everyone!  Today is Heartfelt Creations Wednesday and here is what I have been cooking up in my craft room to showcase Heartfelt Creations Stamps and Dies for this week.  While making this card, my son came out to see what I was doing.  He said "Mom, why don't you use some of that new paper you have instead of using that old worn out paper."   I said, "This is new paper, honey, I am trying to make it look old!"   ......hahahahaha  I doubled over laughing.  How many hours do we spend trying to make our paper look vintage, huh!!!  Guess I totally succeed with this one.
