Purple Hydrangeas

Nothing says spring like a Hydrangea doesn't it?  These beautiful flowers are so gorgeous in real life.  My friend Colleen (Dietrich Designs) had a Birthday recently and she loves Hydrangeas.  It's the first thing you see when your browser opens to her blog!  So I made this card and sent it to her.  She just told me yesterday she received it so I will post it now.  I found that I would rather surprise someone with their card rather then post it first.   So here it is!
Believe it or not I found this Hydrangea image on the internet here.  I have been collecting images and stamps of Hydrangeas for an upcoming project.  I want to have a variety of images in my arsenal.....lol
Martha Stewart Punch around the Page was used for the perimeter and framing of the Hydrangeas inside the card.  Spellbinders for the actual center.  Marianne corner dies at the corners with some Recollection bling.  The Hydrangeas were colored with Copic markers.  Gold seed beads were applied to the centers with Glossy Accents and stickles makes those centers sparkle.
This is the inside of the card.  I colored and cut another image to compliment the front of the card.  I was just thrilled to learn that Colleen loved it!!!!  Now I know she will forgive me for being a little late with her card....lol  Have a wonderful day everyone.  I will be back soon with more to show you.  I have been working on some really cool things.

Carol, your friend had to have been so delighted when this was opened! All those layers of hydrangeas - each one stamped and very carefully colored, shaded, fussy cut AND with the added little beads. The incredible layers on your creation are breathtakingly gorgeous, my sweet friend. I'm sure you made up for being a tad late LOL Do you use a sketch, or do your cards come together in beautiful layers as you go? hugs, de

Carol, photos do not do this card justice. It is just BREATHTAKING in person! The hydrangeas are such a vivid purplish blue hue, with glitter and those little gold beaded centers. I. LOVE. IT! Thank you so, so much for this treasure. It is sitting out in my living room right now with our Easter cards.

Happy Easter and biggest of hugz to you, Carol!

How did I miss this lovely creation before?!! It's just beautiful!! Decorating the inside of the card is always a special surprise for the recipient after they pick up their jaw off the floor upon opening the card.
