Chocolate Cupcakes-yum yum!!! At least these have "NO CALORIES"!!! Oh what fun it was to make this card. Someone very special was on my mind when I was designing this. The wonderful Teaparty Gals at splitcoast stampers are having a teaparty for my dear Mother. You can read all about it here. My heart is just bursting with joy to know that my Mom's mailbox in Connecticut will be filled with cards in the next week. They will surely cheer her!
It was fun to color my images with distress and smooch ink. The cupcakes are the Sweet Filigree Cupcake and Floral Cupcake. For the border pieces the Sweet Cupcake Border and Fancy Lace Border were paired together. They look really cool together. The Fancy Floral Corner #2 was used along with Lace Flower Doily from past collections. Lots of layers-just like I love it. Stitching and distress ink along with glitter and bling and I was a happy camper in my craft room creating this.

Your card is gorgeous and lovingly made, Carol. You used so many wonderful die cuts and the rose is beautiful. Now, I'm wanting a chocolate cupcake. But, when did I not? LOL
I have a card to mail to your mother. I rarely do the Teapot Tuesday challenge so I may or may not it get posted on SCS. I'll tell you I'll have to go in the back door because it is CATS!!! LOL I sure hope all these cards will give your mother a lift and brighten her day.

Hi, Carol! I love that your cupcakes have no calories! They are too pretty to eat, anyway! Beautiful card. I have a confession. I'm learning to sew on my little Janome mini, and I hate the thought of making multiple bobbins and having to change out the threads - but I know in the long run, I'd be much happier doing that! The chocolate stitching here looks WAY WONDERFULLY than had it been white! Beautiful Beautiful - lovely and chocolaty - perfect for the title of your blog. Yummo! I am so glad I am on a serious diet or I would be in the kitchen now whipping up some cupcakes or just opening up a can of frosting (my fav part of the cupcake anyway). What great colors, dies, and 42,000 details. What a great card for your Mom Carol. I just know she is having the best time receiving these cards - especially since she has always loved crafting too.
